10 Reasons Disney Trips Should Be Covered By Health Insurance

A visit to Disney is so good for your health that your vacation should be covered by health insurance! We have come up with some valid points to think about that could justify why it would be so good for your health to visit the happiest place on earth! We all have stress in our everyday lives. But what if you could forget your troubles for just a few days? Everyone knows that going on vacation is good for your health and well being but a Disney vacation is special. Disney has a way of making us all feel young, healthy and happy.

10. The Swimming Pools

If you are staying at a Walt Disney Resort you must take advantage of the Resort swimming pools. Each resort has their own signature pool. Some of our favorite pools are the Beach pool at the Grand Floridian Resort. This pool has an extra large water slide for the kids and the scenic view for the adults. The pools at Ft Wilderness have a rustic country feel to them as well as having another great slide, and if you are staying at the Pop Century Resort, relaxing at the “Hippy Dippy Pool” can’t be beat. There is nothing like taking a dip in a Disney pool. Even the water smells refreshing and clean!

9.Walking

We all know that walking is great for your health. When you go to any of the parks you will do a lot of walking. These parks are very big. You will definitely get plenty of exercise and you may even have some sore muscles if you aren’t use to doing a lot of walking. We recommend wearing a great pair of sneakers or a walking shoe. Always break in a new pair of shoes before wearing them into the parks. Blisters or sore feet can ruin a Disney vacation.

8. Smiling

You are at the happiest place on earth, of course you are smiling. Smiling and laughing are known contributors to a healthy life. From laughing with the characters at the Laugh Floor in tomorrowland to watching Gaston interact with the park guests, you will find you cant help but laugh and smile at everyone you meet. It’s contagious. Another favorite is watching the little ones meet their favorite Disney Princess or Character for the first time. That will have you grinning from ear to ear as well as warm your heart.

7.Food

It seems that whenever most family’s goes on vacation its usually one fast food place after the next for a quick meal just because that’s all there is. Well not at Disney. At Disney you have so many healthy choices that can be made. From the famous Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to a turkey sandwich at Cosmic Ray’s at the Magic Kingdom you will surely find some wonderful healthy choices for a full meal or just a snack. On a side note, we always splurge on our diets a little and find a sweet treat in the park. Don’t worry about the calories, you will walk them off.

6.The Spa’s

Getting a massage, a facial or even a pedicure is a wonderful thing to do for your health. Disney has some of the best spas and health clubs. The Grand Floridian has a great full service spa that can pamper and relax even the most stressful guests. After a spa treatment you will be looking and feeling your best. We recommend calling ahead for a reservation as they do get booked up pretty quickly especially around the holidays.

5. The Shopping

Ahh, the shopping or as we like to call it “retail therapy”. There are gift shops and speciality stores in all of the parks. If you are heading to Epcot, check out the unique shops from all over the world. At Downtown Disney you will find just about any kind of souvenir or keepsake that you can think of that will always remind you of your memorable vacation to Disney. So if you think about it, purchasing that special treasure at Disney will warm your heart long after you return home.

4.The Resorts

Walt Disney is well known for their wide range of resorts that are not only beautiful but are so relaxing. Escape the daily stresses of life and stay at a Disney resort like the Polynesian Village. This resort has an atmosphere to make you feel like you are on an island in the South Pacific. If you are interested in getting back to nature you could camp at Disney’s Fort Wilderness campground. If you are a true nature lover and want to pitch a tent this is a great place for you. Maybe you want to experience the outdoors but the idea of pitching a tent isn’t for you, Fort Wilderness has cabins to rent that are big enough for a family to stay in comfortably.

3. The Friendly Cast Members

Having something contagious isn’t always a bad thing. The friendly and helpful cast members have contagious smiles and personalities that can brighten up your days at Walt Disney World. From the special towel animals that are sometimes left in your resort rooms to the cast members helping you swipe your magic bands at the gates. These folks go out of their way to make you smile and to insure that you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.

1. The Excitement

The excitement and anticipation of riding your favorite ride at Disney will get your heart rate up. From the speed of riding the Rock “n” Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios to hang gliding on Soaring at Epcot you will get that sense of excitement. I find that just riding the monorail to the park is a thrill. Yes, I count the monorail as a ride.
