6. No Free Roaming Characters

I’m not sure if it’s the Walt Disney World television commercials that feed this myth or some other reason.  Regardless, Disney rookies are often surprised to learn that there are no characters walking freely around the park.  The closest thing to a free character you will see is perhaps a character headed out to meet guests, walking briskly alongside their character cast member helper.  Not to worry, park guide maps provide information on where to gather to meet characters for photos and autographs at designated character meet spots.
