10 Things We Love About Narcoosse’s At Walt Disney World

Narcoosee's

Nestled on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, across from Cinderella’s Castle, is Narcoossee’s, one of Disney’s finest signature dining restaurants. Narcoossee’s is part of the Grand Floridian Resort and serves innovative fresh seafood, as well as high-quality steaks and other items. The atmosphere is upscale yet casual, the service is impeccable and the food is superb. It’s worth a try on your next trip – you’re guaranteed to love it for so many reasons!

10. Accessibility:

Narcoossee’s is located on the shore of the Seven Seas Lagoon, at the Grand Floridian Resort, right at the boat launch for the Magic Kingdom ferry boats. This makes it really easy to get to, either by monorail, or by ferryboat from Magic Kingdom. It also means that after a delightful meal, you can be back at Magic Kingdom or Epcot within minutes. You can have a very fine meal here without having to alter your park plans!

9. Service:

While there are so many reasons to love Narcoossee’s, it is quite an expensive restaurant, so patrons expect good service for their money. Narcoossee’s will not disappoint! Servers are highly knowledgeable and attentive. For the more discerning wine-drinker, a consultation with the restaurant’s sommelier is also available.

8. Practical Dress Code:

Despite the upscale menu, the dress code is business casual, which means that it’s still practical to head into the parks afterward if you wish. You can enjoy an excellent meal here, without then finding yourself riding Splash Mountain in your tux or cocktail dress!

7. It’s Great For Kids:

You might think that one of Disney’s pricier restaurants, located at its most expensive hotel, might not welcome the smallest members of your party, but nothing could be further from the truth. Narcoossee’s has an excellent children’s menu, which is full of both things that little ones like to eat and things that little ones like to do. If you choose to dine here, you’ll find lots of other families with kids so you don’t need to fear receiving the evil eye from other diners. It also has an outdoor patio where you can take a fussy little one for some fresh air if they’re having trouble staying in their seat. This is definitely a place where you can dine like you did before you had kids, but with the whole family.

6. Sunday Waterfront Brunch:

Narcoose’s has recently added a deliciously elegant Sunday Waterfront Brunch and it’s worth a visit! Brunch is served on Sundays from 10 to 2 and reservations are highly recommended. The meal begins with a choice of specialty beverages, including champagne, mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, or specialty smoothies for the younger set. Guests enjoy a basket of pastries, followed by a selection of mouth-watering appetizers, including such choices as a seafood charcuterie platter and selection of artisanal cheeses. Main courses include lobster eggs benedict, steak and eggs and a croque madame. The meal winds down with a trio of finely crafted desserts. The food is beautifully plated and a wonderful feast for the senses!

5. You Can’t Beat the View:

Its location on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon right across from Cinderella’s Castle gives Narcoossee’s one of the best views at Disney World and the restaurant has panoramic windows to maximize this effect. The castle is in full view and the restaurant sits right on the water, which creates an atmosphere of serenity. Although you might be right across from a theme park, you’re far enough away that you won’t hear any of the theme park noise. You’ll feel truly peaceful here!

4. The Electrical Water Pageant:

Every night at 9:00 pm a parade of mythical sea creatures takes place across the Seven Seas Lagoon. The parade is an electrical extravaganza set to Disney music, in the same style as the Main Street Electrical Parade at Magic Kingdom. Narcoossee’s is considered one of the magical viewing locations for this parade, as it proceeds over the water, past the Contemporary Resort and Cinderella’s Castle.

3. Fireworks Viewing:

This spectacular location also means that Narcoosese’s is the perfect location to view Magic Kingdom’s Wishes Nighttime Spectacular fireworks show from outside the park. If you can schedule your meal to coincide with this show, you can see the fireworks from any of the window-side tables or you can choose to go outside on the patio and take it in beside the lagoon. The music from the show is piped in to the restaurant and patio-area as well.

2. The Atmosphere:

One of the most enjoyable aspects of this luxury restaurant is the atmosphere. Although the restaurant is high-end and the food is upscale, the atmosphere is still casually elegant, which is perfect given its proximity to 2 theme parks which its patrons will no doubt be heading out to immediately after dining. The waterside location also creates a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, where guests can dine leisurely and kids are welcome.

1. The Food:

Though its casually elegant atmosphere and waterside location provide the basis for a very pleasant dining experience, the top reason to visit Narcoossee’s on your next visit is, of course, the food! Narcoossee’s offers high-end seafood and steaks and other meats which are impeccably prepared and beautifully plated by some of Disney’s top chefs. It also offers a large wine selection and a broad selection of sophisticated desserts. You will not go wrong dining here!

Narcoossee’s is one of Disney World’s top signature restaurants offering a delicious upscale menu in a casually elegant atmosphere, set in a beautiful waterside location. It is definitely worth a try on your next trip! Reservations are highly recommended.
