7 Disney Films You Must Watch Before Your Trip, Part 2

(And Where to Find Their Stars in the Parks)

8. Snow White

Snow White was the film that launched Walt Disney to success. With the addition of the brand new Seven Dwarves Mine Train in the Magic Kingdom, it’s even more of a must-see. Snow White appears at several locations for meet and greets. She can be seen in Germany at Epcot, or near the Town Square Theater in the Magic Kingdom. For dining options, you can see Snow White at Cinderella’s Royal Table or at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. You might even catch a glimpse of the Witch near the Seven Dwarves Mine Train.

9. Lilo and Stitch

Lilo and Stitch is an uplifting story about the importance of family and belonging, set to a great soundtrack of Elvis tunes- what’s not to love about that? Definitely put this on your must-watch list before your trip. Where can you meet Lilo and Stitch? The Best Friends Breakfast features the loveable duo. It’s located at Ohana, Disney’s Hawaiian-themed restaurant, which is in the Polynesian. Stitch can also be found greeting guests in Hollywood Studios near the Sorcerer’s Hat, at Typhoon Lagoon (in the summer), and in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. Stitch is also the star of Stitch’s Great Escape, an attraction in the Magic Kingdom.

10. Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh is very popular among kids and adults alike. Pooh and friends replaced Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with their attraction, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. There are also many locations where you can hug your favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Pooh and Tigger meet very close to their popular ride in Fantasyland. Pooh and friends also meet in Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion. Fancy a buffet featuring these loveable favorites? Head over to the Crystal Palace, where you can find Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. Tigger and Pooh also dine at the Supercalifragilistic breakfast in the Grand Floridian.

11. Beauty and the Beast

This tale of true love and inner beauty has a huge presence in the parks. At the Magic Kingdom, you can dine at the hugely popular Be Our Guest restaurant, modeled in painstaking detail after Beast’s castle. You can even meet Beast during dinner. Then, delight in an interactive storytelling experience and meet Belle in Enchanted Tales with Belle. You can also meet Belle in France in the World Showcase at Epcot or at Akershus in Norway. Want to see a live stage version of the movie? Check it out at Hollywood Studios. Don’t forget Gaston- he can be spotted in Fantasyland near his tavern.

12. Sleeping Beauty

Hidden deep in the woods is Aurora, a lovely princess who must hide to avoid a terrible curse. Though Aurora has shockingly few lines in her very own film, she is a popular princess in the parks. You can meet with Aurora in Epcot’s France pavilion. She is also seen near City Hall on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom, and is a featured princess at Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus. With the recent surge in Maleficent’s popularity, we can’t leave her off out list! Maleficent, in dragon form, has very prominent roles in both the Festival of Fantasy parade at the Magic Kingdom and in Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios.

13. Aladdin

Aladdin is a can’t miss feature film, full of hilarity and big musical numbers. Though not found overwhelmingly in the parks, Aladdin does have its own attraction at the Magic Kingdom- the Magic Carpets of Aladdin. In my opinion, this Adventureland ride is just as fun (if not more so) than Dumbo, so if the line for Dumbo is long, try this one instead. Jasmine is one of the few princesses who meets regularly with her prince; you can find Aladdin and Jasmine in Adventureland. You’ll also find Aladdin and Jasmine in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot. Finally, Jasmine meets with several other princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Table.

14. Frozen

It’s more than likely that you’ve seen Frozen, say, 800 times. Well, just in case you haven’t, make sure to watch it before you go to Disney World so you know what all the fuss is about. This film has a positive message about sisterly love, and appeals to little boys, too. Frozen has an ever-growing park presence. Do you want to build a snowman? You can, if you visit Wandering Oaken’s Frozen Snow ground at Hollywood Studios. While you’re there, you can participate in For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along. Of course, you can meet Anna and Elsa (with a FastPass) at their new meet and greet location at Princess Fairytale Hall. Lookout for the beloved sisters in the Festival of Fantasy parade at the Magic Kingdom, too.
