Downtown Disney is one of my favorite places to go when vacationing in Orlando. Filled with shopping, dining, and plenty of great entertainment, Downtown Disney is a fun place to visit and is open to everyone, whether you’re staying on Disney property or not! There are tons of dining options for guests of any age. Here are a few that top my list of favorites:

6. House of Blues and The Smokehouse

This will be some of the best bbq you’ll ever put in your mouth! Introducing – The House of Blues and The Smokehouse which both serve mouthwatering smoked bbq. 5. Rainforest Café/T-Rex

I’ve combined these two for our number five spot as they are owned by the same company and are very similar. Some people prefer one to the other, but overall the only difference is the theme. The Rainforest Café obviously has a rainforest theme and T-Rex has a dinosaur theme. The menus are comparable and both options are great for kids. They have fun, interactive atmospheres and plenty of kid friendly menu choices.

4. Planet Hollywood

This restaurant is an incredible, visual experience from the second you walk in the door. The whole place is decorated from floor to ceiling with authentic artifacts and memorabilia from some of the most popular TV shows and Hollywood movies. The menu consists of the usual salads, burgers, and sandwiches and is moderately priced. Like most things at Disney, this restaurant is all about the experience. It’s fun for any age and definitely worth a try!

3. Paradiso 37

This next choice is great for an adult’s-only night out! Paradiso features a mixture of Latin and American cuisines and its’ impressive tequila bar are sure to make for an enjoyable night out. Enjoy live music beginning at the dinner hour. If you’re there during the day, sit outside and take in the beautiful views of Downtown Disney.

2. Raglan Road

If you hungry for good food and an unique Irish atmosphere, then this is the place for you! It’s a bit pricier than some of the other restaurants mentioned, but the food is top quality. Plus, it’s open for both lunch and dinner. This location also offers live music during dinner its hours. I highly recommend the fish and chips! Yum!

1. Fulton’s Crab House

This nautical restaurant tops off our list at number one! As you step aboard the beautiful riverboat, you are immediately blown away by the gorgeous water views and views of Downtown Disney. Known for its fresh seafood and steak, this one may be pricey, but it’s definitely worth the price tag. While families are welcome, the romantic atmosphere is perfect for a night out minus the kids.

So whether you are planning a kid-free date night or bringing the whole family to this hot spot, there is definitely something for everyone in Downtown Disney! Each of these restaurants offer a perfect respite from the craziness of the parks, but still manage to maintain that special Disney feel. So be the judge and try one of these top Downtown Disney restaurants for yourself!

About Meghann McFadden

Writing has always been my passion. I have had an interest in writing ever since I was young. Similarly, I have always loved Disney. There is not a day that goes by that I'm not reading or watching something about Disney. I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree and working as well. I live right outside of Chicago, but visit Walt Disney World Resort several times a year.
