Any runDisney event: Whether it’s to run or to volunteer, runDisney is something that all Disney fans should experience at least once, especially if they live for Disney. runDisney offers various Kids Races, 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and full marathons throughout the year – as well as challenges to complete multiple running events in one weekend – at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris. Run three miles around the World Showcase in February at sunrise and walk away with cute rubber princess medal, or enjoy running through Cinderella Castle or through Hollywood Studios for some more hefty bling. But be careful – these events can sell out fast and registration opens up months in advance!

3. Fishing excursions: Ever dream of taking a boat out on the World Showcase or the Seven Seas Lagoon? It’s possible! Fishing excursions for two or four hours can be booked through Walt Disney World Recreation and depart from a majority of Disney’s resorts. The excursions come with bait, fishing rods, a cooler filled with water and soda, and a fishing guide to help fishermen and women of any experience level catch the biggest bass they possibly can! The fishing is catch-and-release. Depending on how long the excursion is for and the type of boat, excursions range between $170 and $455.

4. Character Palooza: This event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is not advertised, which keeps the crowds from becoming too overwhelming. Character Palooza occurs by the exit of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Character Palooza never presents the same set of characters and usually has some rare finds, so be sure to take advantage of the shorter lines that these rare characters get!

5. Stay at the Magic Kingdom until closing: Late nights at the parks can be exhausting, but well worth it! Unlike Epcot, where the park closes when the fireworks end, Magic Kingdom is open after Wishes has its finale. When Wishes is over is when a majority of the guests call it a night and head back home or to their hotels. Playing at the Magic Kingdom after Wishes when nearly everyone has left is like being in a whole different park! There are hardly any wait times for rides and there isn’t a fight to get a good spot for the second viewing of the Main Street Electrical Parade – in fact, there are plenty of places to get a good spot with tons of personal space, especially along Frontierland! As the park comes to a close, enjoy a “Good Night Kiss” for about two minutes by Cinderella Castle. There’s no need for a Fast Pass when there’s hardly anyone in the park! This way, die hard Disney fans can enjoy the park to themselves and truly appreciate the fine details.

6. Book a character meal: While any guest would enjoy a character dining experience, die hard Disney fans should take advantage of character meals so they can meet some of their favorite princesses, Mickey and his friends, or residents of the Hundred Acre Wood but while being able to relax and not worry about the mad rush of getting to a character location on time. Character meals give the luxury of nice restaurants where guests can sit back, relax, and take their time with characters. Whether it’s a breakfast with Stitch at Ohana at the Polynesian or a royal ball with Cinderella at Cinderella’s Royal Table, character meals can take away some of the stress of finding and meeting characters, especially is younger guests want to meet someone specific.
