7 Things We Love About Hollywood Studio’s Writer’s Stop

Hollywood Studios

In the heart of Hollywood Studios sits a sweet little coffee shop that many people often pass by, but we love it! There are so many reasons to make the Writer’s Stop a priority on your next visit to Hollywood Studios, but we’ll give you seven!

1. Books and Merchandise

This little coffee shop also offers a variety of Disney books that are often hard to find elsewhere. My book-lover mind was blown away by all the different kinds of stories and biographies that are up for purchase. It took all of two seconds to find a book that sparked my interest and stick my nose in. Take a notice of all the crazy cool mugs as well! Mugs are everywhere around Disney, but with this being a coffee shop, they have a few extra options.

2. Coffee coffee coffee!

Disney World is tiring, and after a fifth ride on the Rockin’ Roller Coaster one can need a pick me up. If you want something a little better than soda, or just a black coffee, Writer’s Stop is your best option. They’ve got your favorite fancy and classic coffee options to satisfy your caffeine needs. If you do not want something hot, they of course have iced coffee options as well.

3. A Great Place to Rest

If the kids are getting restless and your feet are getting tired, but you don’t feel like taking the hike all the way back to your resort, I would advise Writer’s Stop every time. They have comfy seats set in front of a TV that plays Disney Cartoons and chairs tucked in the back as well that you can sit in and take a breather while your kids snooze in their stroller.

4. Sweet Treats for the Whole Family

If you were stopping in to get a morning boost of caffeine while you take advantage of those extra magic hours, I’d grab one of their treats as well. Whether it’s a massive muffin or a special Mickey brownie, there’s a treat in that beautiful box for every one of your family members.

5. A Perfect Waiting Place

This is a hidden secret in an already hidden gem. Did you know that you can wait for your Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre reservation inside Writer’s Stop? My husband and I noticed how close these two locations were and asked the hostess at Sci-fi if our reservation beeper would reach into the Writer’s Stop. We were informed that we were more than welcome to wait there and we took them up on. It’s better than waiting outside of the restaurant, which often happens because of how popular this dining option is. My husband and I took the opportunity to organize our pins and talk about our day; the time went by so fast!

6. Peace and Quiet

The Writer’s Stop has always been a place that is often skipped over by most guests. This comes at an advantage to us Disney Fanatics. When a place is hidden, that means traffic in that location is often slow. When you get tired of shoving through massive crowds and the natural noises of a busy theme park gets a little overwhelming, why not settle down for a bit at the Writer’s Stop? I loved just getting to sit and “be” for a second and not feeling like I’m being rushed from one location to another. Often, Writer’s Stop is quiet and you don’t realize how nice that can be until you’re actually sitting there.

7. Air Conditioned Area

It’s wonderful how sitting in a cool location can rejuvenate a person so quickly. The summer heat in Florida at some point can be a too much for you and your family to handle. Since this location is not an attraction or a full service eating location, you won’t feel pressured to move or get up, you can just relax in the cool as long as you want!

Make sure to check out Writer’s Stop the next time you’re in Disney World and let us know how you like it! Have a favorite treat from there? Let us know in the comments below!

About Madison

My name is Madison, I'm 21 years old and currently live in Kentucky. Disney is my passion, research is my hobby, and writing is my "made for this". I have been a big Disney fan ever since I can remember, I loved all the Disney princesses, and I will never forget my first trip to Disney World when I was seven years old. It wasn't until my husband and I took our "Disney Honeymoon" that I was REALLY hooked. In June we will have taken our third trip to Disney in less than a year and have many more planned in the future! I am a big pin trader, my favorite princess is Sleeping Beauty, and the Wishes Fireworks Show brings me to tears every time.
