7 Things We Love About the Plaza Restaurant

Located in the Magic Kingdom, nestled between Main Street U.S.A. and Tomorrowland, the Plaza Restaurant is a table-service restaurant offering traditional American fare. Even though there is a lot to love about the Plaza, here is our list of the top 7!

7 – Location, Location, Location – the Plaza is located next to the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and facing Cinderella’s Castle. This prime location offers two AMAZING perks for diners: first, you can enjoy a variety of sundaes and ice creams from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor without having to wait in its line; and, two, if you time your reservation correctly, you are offered a spectacular view of Wishes! and Celebrate the Magic.

6 – Varied Menu – in addition to the selection of ice cream, the Plaza offers a wonderful selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy and will satisfy a variety of palettes or dietary choices. My personal favorite is the Beef Brisket Onion Burger!

5 – Small Size – the Plaza Restaurant is not very large. Some people may count this a drawback, but the small size affords you great service from the Cast Members, as well as views out to the newly re-opened Hub. I also enjoy the small size of the restaurant because it makes the dining experience slightly more intimate and personal.

4 – Late ADR – compared to Crystal Palace and Be Our Guest, the Plaza is not very popular. I have not had a problem getting an ADR shortly before a trip or getting a walk-up reservation for the day I am visiting the Magic Kingdom.

3 – Discounts – if you are a Florida Resident or an Annual Passholder, be sure to purchase a Tables in Wonderland dining discount card (it offers 20% off your total bill (alcohol INCLUDED). The Plaza does accept Tables in Wonderland and the price point on their entrees in one of the lowest for a table service restaurant, this can make the Plaza a very cheap option!

2 – Character Dining (Sort Of) – the Plaza is not billed as a character dining meal, but from time to time, the Citizens of Main Street have been known to stop in and visit with diners. This added little detail makes this dining experience a little more special and offer something that isn’t offered by other restaurants.

1 – Value – even without any discounts being applied, the price you pay for an entrée at the Plaza is negligibly more than you would pay for something similar at a counter service restaurant and the quality of your meal is vastly superior!
