Dinner Polynesian Style at Ohana’s

Aloha!  And welcome to our review of Ohana’s Restaurant at Disney’s Polynesian Resort Hotel.  Savor Hawaiian inspired foods amidst a tropical atmosphere complete with tiki’s and towering greenery as you’re served by a hospitable and attentive wait staff.

Dining Fare

Diners are served all-you-can-eat oak grilled steak, pork, and shrimp from skewers brought straight to your table along with platters of lo-mein noodles, chicken wings, pork dumplings and stir fried vegetables.  Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks complete with tropical juices, chunks of fresh fruit and colorful ubrellas lull you into an island tempo of life.  Hot dogs, mac-and-cheese and other kid-friendly fare is also available upon request.

Entertainment

Ohana’s is also stage to one of the most popular breakfast experiences in all of Disney where the lovable characters from Lilo and Stitch and Mickey Mouse mingle with guests and pose for photos and fun.   While there is no show per se at the dinner hour, your children are invited to participate in an island conga lead by a polynesian crooner playing the ukelele and topped off by a hula lesson where participants are donned with leis.

Overall, our experience was fabulous!  Food was fresh, tasty and delicious, the atmosphere lush and inviting.  Service was prompt and exceeded expectations due to the well-trained staff at Disney.  The tricky part is reserving a table at this hot-spot!  Reservations may be made as many as 180 days in advance of your visit and we highly encourage you to reserve your table WAY ahead of your visit!  You may even want to consider setting up your dining experiences with the disney reservation staff before you even book your air travel. You may think  – “that’s totally crazy,” but at Disney World, tables go fast!  Luscious dining experiences like this one with its’ sprinkling of Disney magic will help you make memories with friends and loved one’s that last a lifetime!
