Disney Discounts – 10 Ways You Can Save Money on Your Disney Trip

We all know that visiting Disney is one of the most magical experiences of all time. What is not so magical is going home and seeing your final bill for everything that was spent. It can also be challenging for large families to budget themselves or save enough to cover the cost of a decent lengthy stay or visit to the theme parks. One particular reason as to why I am able to visit the happiest place in the world so much is the discounts that I qualify for. There are a plethora of discounts that can be used to make your stay more affordable, and chances are, you will qualify for at least one because there are many to choose from! Check out ten great ways to save on your next trip!

10. Military Discount

If a loved one in your family is in the military, you should check into some of the offers that Disney gives to our well deserved troops. Disney military promotional rates can be applied for park tickets, resorts, cruises, and dining plans at certain times of the year. Did you know that there is a specific hotel on Disney property just for military families? Shades on the Green Resort offers some really amazing rates! The discounts for these rooms are typically the least expensive offers I have seen (on select dates) on any kind of discounted rate. Next time you are visiting, check out the options for military family discounts!

9. Triple A Discount

It pays to have an AAA membership! For a very low rate per year, you are sure to make the cost of your membership back plus more with the amount you will save at Disney. AAA offers special rates for Disney hotels, tickets, Adventures by Disney, annual passes, and even Disney cruises. If you own a membership, be sure to ask the next Disney agent you speak with regarding what benefits you can obtain for your following visit. There are also several resorts on Disney property owned by other resorts that also offer AAA discounts.

8. Florida Resident Discount

Living in the Sunshine State has given me the most bang for my buck and the majority of my savings come from these rates. Florida residents qualify for some tremendous discounted offers for tickets, resorts, annual passes, Cirque du Soliel La Nouba show tickets, and much more. If you live in Florida, you are not going to want to miss these offers, as they will probably be your best bet for saving money!

7. Annual Pass Discount

The best investment I have ever made has to be my annual pass. Not only does it allow me to visit the parks whenever I please, but it saves me money too. Annual pass holders receive up to 35% off of resort rooms, up to 10% off of fine dining, tours, and even a discount on merchandise! Not to mention, being able to enter the parks just for a few hours for dinner or a show whenever you please is a huge discount in itself. For those of you that visit Disney World often, it pays to have an annual pass!

6. Disney Dining Plans

Lets face it, aside from creating memories at the parks, dining has to be a close second when enjoying your vacation. I always remember all of the yummy treats and meals that I have when I visit, and I’m sure you do too! Disney offers some great dining plans that will help you save a ton when dining out. There are several plans to choose from and at certain times of the year, these plans are sold at a discounted rate and even offered completely free when you purchase a series of nights at a resort. I highly recommend the dining plans for those that enjoy fine dining because that it where you will save the most.

5. Pin Codes

Pin codes aren’t very common, but when you are given one, they tend to be really, really great. Disney will give pin codes, or discount offers, once in a while at random times to parties that visit often. You will receive this code in the mail or I have even heard some people say that they have called to ask and they have been given one by an agent over the phone. Usually these codes are based on resort discounts or theme park tickets.

4. Family Group Rates

At certain times of the year, Disney will offer special rates for certain party sizes. There are packages created specifically for families, based on the number in their party, at a discounted rate. These are only offered every now and then, but they can help when having a budget in mind. Those traveling in larger parties can also request special accommodations at a discounted rate.

3. UK Resident Discount

To those traveling from the beautiful UK, be sure to call or go online and find out the special rates that are offered to you! There are some great ticket prices for those traveling half way around the globe. Since many visitors form the UK stay for long periods of time, these tickets are your best bet.
