Disney Is For Lovers – 10 Amazing Ways to Pop the Question at Walt Disney World

engagement ring

For any dedicated Disney lover, Walt Disney World is the perfect place to start your “happily ever after”, and what better way to begin than to pop the question in the Happiest Place on Earth? There are plenty of places in Disney World that would make this experience truly magical. Here are 10 of our favorite ways to do so.

10. With the Help of the Whole Family

If your future fiancé is super close with their family, you may want to think about including them in this special moment. Even including them in the actual question would be fun too. Holding up, “Will You Marry Me” signs would be a fun idea.

9. Wishing Well at Magic Kingdom

Located on the side of Cinderella Castle, towards the back, the wishing well is a beautiful, quiet spot inside busy Magic Kingdom. It’s not only romantic, but also extremely magical as well.

8. Scavenger Hunt Method

This method has become very popular in recent years. Placing “clues” that lead from one location to another, then of course, leading to the proposal. This would be extremely fun to do at a Disney World Theme Park. The cast members would be more than happy to play along.

7. During a Character Meet and Greet

This is the perfect idea for a fun loving couple. Not only will it completely surprise your significant other, but it will make for some great pictures.

6. While on a Ride

This has been done many times at Disney World and is becoming quite the popular trend. One of my favorite stories is holding up a “Will You Marry Me” sign on Splash Mountain, and once they see the picture, you break out the full proposal. Helpful tip: Make sure the camera is working on the ride first!

5. During a Firework Show

Firework shows at Disney are nothing short of extraordinary. They captivate you, and there’s no better time to pop the question. Just like the fireworks, it will be magical and enchanting.

4. In front of Their Favorite Ride

Let’s face it, one big reason we visit Disney Parks is because Disney does rides so well. We all have our favorite. And if you know your future fiancé well enough, you probably know their favorite ride. They’ll love nothing more than a proposal directly in front of their favorite attraction.

3. On the Beach at the Polynesian Resort

One of my favorite places outside of the Disney Parks is the Polynesian Resort (And not just for the Dole Whips). In the evening hours it becomes very romantic. Popping the question while watching Wishes from the beach is sure to leave them speechless. In a good way!

2. Your Favorite Restaurant

If you’ve visited Disney World as a couple then chances are you have grown to love a specific restaurant that you must visit every time. You’ve created memories there and now is your chance to create the biggest memory of all. Plus, every time you visit after, you’ll both remember your beautiful and special proposal. And you’ll be able to celebrate right away!

1. Directly in front of Cinderella Castle

How would you love to have a picture perfect proposal with Cinderella Castle as the backdrop? This is the ultimate Disney proposal. Perfect for that fairytale moment.
