Ladies! Here are 4 Ways to Pamper Yourself at Disney World

Travel, hot sun and humidity, corralling kids at the parks, dealing with a baby that missed its’ nap – let’s face it, Disney can be draining! Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely more up-sides than down when visiting Disney World but after a few days at the parks, you might feel like you need a vacation from your vacation. After taking a number of trips and reading up on other’s people’s suggestions, I’ve curated a list of items that can give us ladies a little R&R while visiting the most magical place on earth. You deserve a little “me” time to enjoy some of the finer things at Disney. Here are a few ways to pamper yourself on your Disney Vacation.

1. Spa – Did you know that Disney has two world-class spas on property? Senses Spas are located at Saratoga Springs and The Grand Floridian Resort. Invigorate your mind and body at these quiet, zen-like retreats and indulge in a few of the many therapies available. Services include, Swedish, pregnancy or warm stone massage, body wrap, facials, champagne bubble baths, manicure, pedicure and more. I feel relaxed already! Once you book your vacation, carve out some time where you can have a private escape and treat yourself to one of these rejuvenating experiences. Spas are open from 8am – 8pm. Reservations are required and spaces fill up quickly. Call Disney at 407.939.7727 for reservations.

2. Salon – In addition to Senses Spas, many resorts also have facilities providing traditional salon services including Disney’s Animal Kingdom Zahanati Massage & Fitness Center, Disney’s BoardWalk Muscles & Bustles Health Club, Disney’s Coronado Springs La Vida Health Club and Casa de Belleza Salon, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Sturdy Branches Health Club, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort Olympiad Fitness Center. Salon services include haircuts, color touch-up, full color, full foil, partial foil, scalp massage with conditioning treatment, shampoo and blow-dry, shampoo and set, updos, and makeup. Nail services include manicure, pedicure, and paraffin treatments. Get the glamour treatment and look like a million bucks! In my opinion, the salons and spas are just as magical as the parks so – enjoy!

3. Take time off – This tip won’t cost you a dime. Carve out a morning or afternoon and instead of heading into the parks, sit and relax by the pool at your resort or hotel. This is actually my favorite vacation activity. Grab a lawn chair in the shade, bring your favorite book or magazine and just relax. If you have kids, work out a deal with your hubby or extended relative to take the kids one day for you knowing that you’ll do the same for them during your trip.

4. Date night – If you are staying on property, childcare is available to mom’s and dad’s giving parents some free-time for a date. The first service offered is in-room babysitting. A professionally trained childcare provider offers one-to-one babysitting in the comfort of your Disney resort hotel room. Arts and crafts, games and other activities are part of the fun for kids 6-12 years old. The second option are Children’s Activity Centers. These are supervised kid’s clubs where children can play, dine and make friends in 5 different locations. So, drop the kids off and go have some fun with your significant other!

We hope your next trip to Disney is a blast but don’t forget to splurge a little on yourself too… you deserve it! Share this article with your friends and make sure your husband sees it – hint-hint! Know of other ways to pamper yourself at Disney? Leave your comments below.
