Magic Kingdom 101 – The Complete Run-Down of Attractions

So, you booked your resort, bought your tickets and are all set to head to the park but not sure of what attractions you want to go on? It’s hard to decide on which ones are “must do’s” and which ones are “to do next time”. We have given you a run down of the attractions to make your decisions a lot more enjoyable.

ADVENTURELAND

1. The Jungle Cruise – This fun little riverboat cruise takes you down a few exotic rivers. On your cruise you will see many life like jungle animals. You may have to take a double take to see if they are real or not. The narration by your Disney cruise guide is something right out of a comedy club.

2. Aladdin’s Magic Carpets – These magic carpets are fun to ride. They are similar to the Dumbo ride. You can take the controls and make your carpet go up and down and tilt back and forth. Watch out for the spitting camel.

3. Pirates of the Caribbean – Yo Ho, Yo Ho a pirates life for me! That’s what you will be singing when you ride this one. We love to get into these boats and see the pirate life. You will see everything from mermaid skeletons to Capt Jack Sparrow on this ride. No Disney trip is complete without riding this one.

4. Swiss Family Treehouse – Have you ever wondered what how the Swiss Family lived? You will enjoy this walking tour through the treehouse that looks and feels like it came straight out of the movies. Make sure you are wearing good shoes and are up for the walk.

5. Enchanted Tiki Room – The mood is set for this Polynesian show. Exotic flowers and birds seem to come to life in this animated show in the tiki room while you sing along. A great show especially if you are a bird lover.

FRONTIERLAND

6. Country Bear Jamboree – Join these mechanical country bears for a knee slapping old fashion country hoe down. This show is fun for the entire family.

7. Tom Sawyer Island – This a great walking adventure for everyone. This island was inspired by the great adventure stories of Mark Twain.

8. Splash Mountain – This log flume ride is focused around Br’er Rabbit’s adventures. This is a fun thrill ride. It has big drops and you may get wet.

9. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – This fast and exciting train ride takes you through the mountain to an old abandoned mine shaft. Hold on tight as you twist and turn on this track.

LIBERTY SQUARE

10. The Haunted Mansion – Take a ride in the Doom Buggy on a guided tour of the mansion with your host. Your ghost host! See ghoul’s and spirits from the past on this haunted tour. But beware of hitch hiking ghosts!

11. The Hall of Presidents – Here is where you can see all of our past and present U.S. Presidents on stage together in a life like performance. This is a great place to relax and enjoy some history of our country.

12. Liberty Belle Riverboat – This river boat tour takes you on a tour around Tom Sawyers Island. The large boat is powered by steam. The scenic views are wonderful. This a very relaxing ride.

FANTASYLAND

13. Prince Charming’ Carrousel – step onto this carrousel and pick your favorite horse. Enjoy this ride while you take in the view of Cinderella’s castle.

14. It’s a Small World – This ride is a classic. Climb aboard onto these boats and enjoy the happiest cruise ever! Here you will see so many mechanical dolls dancing and singing all together. You will be singing “It’s a small world” by the end of this cruise.

15. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Join Pooh and his friends on a journey to relive some of his adventures in the hundred acre woods. This is a sweet ride for the little ones.

16. The Tea Cups – We love getting into these giant tea cups and spinning as fast as we can. It’s fun to try to compete with the other guests to spin the fastest.

17. Mickey’s PhilharMagic – Donald Duck tries to steal the show once again in this 3D musical adventure. You will enjoy watching some of your favorite characters in 3D and perform some memorable songs from their movies.

18. Peter Pan’s Flight – “You Can Fly” over London and on to Neverland in a pirate ship and see scenes from famous Peter Pan movie on this ride.

19. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – This is the newest ride in the Kingdom. Climb into a coal car and head into the diamond mine on this one of a kind train. This is a great coaster for young children.

20. Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid – climb into your very own clam shell and relive the story of the little mermaid. Hear all the songs from the movie and see all of your favorite and not so favorite characters.

21. Dumbo the Flying Elephant – Everyone loves to ride Dumbo the elephant in storybook circus. You can control the flight with Dumbo by moving the controller up or down. This ride is great for all ages.

22. The Barnstormer – Take a ride on this mini rollercoaster in Storybook Circus. The coaster looks like a stunt plane and has some small drops that will make the little ones feel like they are on an adult size rollercoaster. Adults like this one as well as the small children.

TOMORROWLAND

23. Carousel of Progress – Take a good look into the past as well as the future on this revolving theater. See how much things in our every day life have changed over the years and where today’s technology can take us into the future.

24. Speedway – This speedway has been around for a long time but it’s still exciting to get into your own gas powered car and press on the pedal to drive around on the track. It’s fun to race against your family. This ride is a classic.

25. Tomorrowland Transit Authority ( the people mover) – Sit back and relax on transportation of the future. It’s about a 10 minute ride through space mountain, and Buzz Lightyear’s space rangers. We love this ride especially if you are tired and just need to rest for a little while.

26. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger – Here you will feel like you are in the movie right along with Buzz Lightyear. On this ride you can get in some target practice with the laser cannons in your car. You have to be quick or you will miss your target.

27. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor – Have a seat and watch a comedy show or maybe you might be part of the show. This interactive show has the guests laughing to fill up the container. You can even send in a joke of your own to be used in the show by texting it to the number given before the show.

28. Stitch’s Great Escape – See how a prisoner get teleported in this adventure but it ends up being Stitch who of course creates a whole lot of trouble. This ride can be a little scary for the little ones.
