Our Favorite 10 Moderately Priced Restaurants at Walt Disney World

Liberty Tree Tavern

Thanks to the user friendly Walt Disney World planning website guests can now explore and book dining experiences quicker and easier than ever before. Guests can use filters to sort restaurants by dining experiences, food type, location and price. This article is a collection of my family’s favorite moderately priced Disney dining experiences. The Disney website does indeed consider a few of these restaurants to be counter service dining experiences that translate to a cheap eat for guests. For the purpose of this article I have grouped dining experiences that are low to moderate cost, that provide a relaxing dining atmosphere and offer food options outside the normal theme park food. Happy lunching and munching folks!

10.Yak & Yeti Restaurant

Yak & Yeti restaurant offers Animal Kingdom guests the opportunity to enjoy Asian and Nepalese cuisine in a beautiful restaurant near Expedition Everest. Plates of Lo Mein, Korean Barbeque, Dim Sum and Kobe Beef burgers are just a few of guest favorites at Yak & Yeti. Dinner entrees start at around eighteen dollars per person.

9. Flame Tree Barbeque

Yet another great dining spot in Animal Kingdom, the delicious smell of Flame Tree Barbecue’s smoked and grilled meats can be detected from half a mile away. Though technically considered a quick service priced restaurant by Disney; entrée prices range from eleven dollars for smoked turkey sandwiches to twenty dollars for the shareable ribs, chicken and pulled pork sampler plate for dinner.

8. Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming

This relatively new restaurant became an immediate favorite for me when I visited it on opening night. The gorgeous southern, farmhouse atmosphere matches the menu of home cooked comfort food perfectly. Fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, biscuits, collard greens and high stacked homemade cakes wow guests. With entrees ranging from around thirteen dollars to thirty dollars this moderately priced eatery does not disappoint for guests looking to enjoy southern cooking.

7. Sleepy Hollow Counter.

Sleepy Hollow counter is technically a quick service eatery with outdoor seating nearby. It makes this list because it has unique offerings every Magic Kingdom guest should experience. The delicious dessert waffles are such a fun and tasty vacation dining experience. Strawberry and Cream waffles and fruit and Nutella waffles are hard to beat. At around seven dollars per waffle Sleepy Hollow makes a great shareable snack munching spot or lunch option.

6. D-Luxe Burger.

I generally try to stay away from the normal burger and fries during vacations. However, exploring D-Luxe Burger during a visit to the brand new Disney Springs last spring was a must do. I am so glad I took the plunge because the burgers at D-Luxe are incredible. Delicious gourmet burgers like the fried green tomato and pimento cheese covered Southern Burger start at around twelve dollars each with fries sold separately for five dollars a bag.

5. Food Truck Selections at Disney Springs.

Delicious food trucks at Disney Springs offer an array of fun eats that can be enjoyed outdoors near a performance area. Guests can enjoy the breeze off the nearby water as they snack on potstickers, beef sliders, and Chicken Gyros. These snack options come in at around ten dollars each.

4. The Grand Floridian Café.

If you are looking for casual American cuisine in an elegant and relaxed atmosphere The Grand Floridian Café is a great dining option for your group. With dinner prices ranging from twenty to thirty dollars per plate for full entrees and delicious options like shrimp & grits, grilled pork chop, and glazed salmon this dining spot is a great place to break from the action of The Magic Kingdom and enjoy a meal. Conveniently located on the monorail line in The Grand Floridian this restaurant makes a great leisurely lunch or dinner spot.

3. Kona Café.

Known best for its delicious Tonga Toast, Kona Café serves delicious Hawaiian cuisine all day long. Disney guests looking to explore some new cuisine without committing to the price tag of Ohana will love Kona Café. Kona Coffee rubbed pork, Curry Lamb chops and my personal favorite Pan-Asian Noodles will impress guests. Dinner prices range from twenty to thirty-five dollars per entrée.
