11. Holiday Happenings
If you’re able to enjoy Christmas time at Disney - do it! The decorations and special events make for special memories not available at other times of the year. If the Magic Kingdom were an ice cream sundae, then attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party would be the cherry on top! This is a hard ticket event, meaning attending the party requires purchasing a separate ticket not included in regular park admission, but it is well worth it. The Magic Kingdom limits attendance to the party so crowds are relatively light and getting quick access to attractions are real easy, though that is just one of the perks of attending MVMCP. Select locations in the Magic Kingdom offer FREE hot chocolate and cookies and there is a special “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime” parade featured twice nightly where all your favorite Disney characters including Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf from Frozen will be joining in on the frosty festivities. Also enjoy a special holiday edition of Disney fireworks with “Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season.” You’ll Marvel as Cinderella Castle is transformed with a Frozen display of gleaming winter magic as Elsa uses her powers to create a sparkling, icy holiday centerpiece… it even snows on Main Street!
