10. Enjoying Evening Entertainment.
Parades, fireworks and a castle projection keep evening park-goers busy at The Magic Kingdom. Scouting out a great spot to watch these shows is worth the time. Watch Tinker Bell fly across the castle as fireworks erupt above you and your favorite Disney music plays. Remember, Main Street U.S.A. is not the only place to watch the parade, there are great less crowded viewing spots in Frontierland.
9. Riding the Train Around Magic Kingdom.
The train that circles the park is a great way to relax as you circle the park perimeter. Tired little ones can rest while the rest of the travel party enjoys the beauty of the illuminated views of the park. You can ride until your heart is content, so taking a half hour break on the train is very realistic.
8. Hopping On Attractions.
Using evening fastpassses or taking advantage of the lull in crowd lines during the parade and fireworks is a great idea for guests visiting during the evening. Targeting higher traffic attractions during the parade or fireworks may result in a shorter wait time.
7. Clowning Around at The Crystal Palace with The Hundred Acre Wood Gang.
The buffet at The Crystal Palace is a park tradition for many families. Eating a delicious meal while meeting Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore is hard to beat. A later reservation time means the group can enjoy attractions for hours before breaking for dinner and finishing just in time to view the fireworks from Main Street U.S.A.
6. Dining with the Beast at Be Our Guest.
One of the newest restaurant additions to the park is located in new Fantasyland, Be Our Guest Restaurant. Dine on incredible French foods inside the Beast’s Castle. You may be seated in the ballroom, or even the West Wing near the enchanted rose. The Beast himself visits with guests at the conclusion of each meal.
5. Meeting Cinderella at Dinner in the Castle.
The most coveted dining experience in The Magic Kingdom is undoubtedly dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Cinderella Castle. A reservation at this restaurant is hard to snag, often filling up 180 days in advance. This dinner fit for royalty will kick off any magical evening with flair.
4. Snaps Some Gorgeous Photos.
Photography gurus will love the wonderful photo opportunities in a The Magic Kingdom after dark. Castle shots, fireworks, illuminated ride reflections in water and fountains are just a few of my favorite evening photo favorites.
3. Shop and Snack.
As the day winds down, take the time to snag those souvenirs and snacks you have been eyeing all day. Shopping in Emporium between evening shows or enjoying popcorn and hand dipped ice cream on the curb as you await the parade is so fun. Guests looking to catch their second wind for evening extra magic hours in the park need only a few minutes to refuel with a Starbucks coffee and Ben & Jerry’s Ice cream before they are ready to explore again.
2. Purchase Tickets to the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party.
The Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party is a sweet ending to any park day. Purchase tickets in advance to enjoy Wishes from a reserved viewing area in Tomorrowland Terrace. Along with preferred seating, party guests receive access to a beautiful all you can eat buffet dessert setup that includes chocolate dipped treats, Disney themed desserts, fruit, ice cream and nonalcoholic drinks. This experience costs around fifty-nine dollars for adults and thirty-nine dollars per child but is a must do Disney experience.

A lot of words come to mind when a theme park is mentioned, “peaceful” likely is not one of those words. However, evenings in The Magic Kingdom can prove to be very peaceful, romantic and quiet. Walking along the illuminated fenced area between Fantasyland and Storybook Circus, being the last party to enjoy a Dole Whip in Adventureland before park closing or sticking around to see the “goodnight kiss” and take evening photos of a much less crowded park all prove to be peaceful and magical evening experiences any Disney lover is sure to enjoy.
