The 10 Best Adult Beverages at Disney World

Shots

It’s common for most people to think that Disney World is a place for families, or most commonly, children. Contrary to popular belief, there are many things that make Disney World a great place for adults too. And relaxing and enjoying a cold and refreshing adult beverage is one of my favorite things to do. There are many places to do so and many great drinks to try. Here are 10 of my favorites!

10. Pina Colada (Disney’s Boardwalk)

Located right along the boardwalk, almost directly across from the Boardwalk Bakery, there’s a little stand named Boardwalk Joe’s. It serves various margaritas and one delicious Pina Colada. Reasonably priced at $8.25, the Pina Colada is the perfect mix of Bacardi rum and delicious flavoring. Perfect for cooling you off after a stroll around the water.

9. Cotton-tini (T-Rex Café)

T-Rex Café, located in Downtown Disney, is usually known for being a desirable place for kids, but also offers a fun place for adults to hang out. The bar has a huge selection of drinks, including a Cotton-tini. Which in short terms is basically a cotton candy martini. Both delicious and unique!

8. Magical Star Cocktail

This drink can be found in almost any bar or lounge on Disney property. It’s basically a fruity little concoction with a magic “glow cube” that makes it glow. After you finish the drink, you get to keep the glow cube!

7. Spikey Pineapple (Trader Sam’s)

This wonderful drink can be found at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, Disney’s Polynesian Resort’s newest restaurant and lounge. This drink channels its inner “Dole Whip.” It’s pineapple soft-serve with rum. What can get better than that?

6. Margarita (Mexico Pavilion)

This is a classic, because who doesn’t love a good margarita? If you get margaritas from the stand in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot, you have the choice of frozen Strawberry, Mango, or Classic Lime. If you get one from the lounge La Cava del Tequila, you have a significantly larger selection. Flavors include, cucumber, avocado, and jalapeño.

5. Hippopoto Mai Tai (Trader Sam’s)

This is another fruity and tropical drink you can find at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. It’s your classic Mai Tai, but it’s served in a souvenir Tiki glass!

4. The Welsh Dragon (U.K. Pavilion)

The Welsh Dragon is another tropical flavored drink that can be found in the Rose and Crown Pub in Epcot’s U.K. Pavilion. It’s delicious and refreshing. Perfect for a break from a long, hot day in Epcot. It’s also available in a souvenir cup!

3. Tokyo Sunset (Japan Pavilion)

You can find this tasty little drink in a small stand directly across from the enormous gift shop. It’s made from coconut rum, banana liquor, peach schnapps and pineapple juice and it’s simply delicious. Complete with a little paper umbrella!

2. Lapu Lapu (Tambu Lounge)

No trip to the Polynesian Resort would be complete without an alcoholic drink served inside a carved pineapple. You can only find these at the Tambu Lounge, anywhere else does not serve it inside the pineapple.

1. Grey Goose Citron and Grand Marnier Orange Slushes (France Pavilion)

These are always a fan favorite. They Grey Goose Citron is a lemony concoction and they Grand Marnier Orange is most obviously, orange flavored. Both are equally wonderful, but everyone has a favorite!

As you can see, there are many drinks to enjoy that are made for adults and adults only! So sit back and relax and enjoy one of these beauties! Drink responsibly!

About Meghann McFadden

Writing has always been my passion. I have had an interest in writing ever since I was young. Similarly, I have always loved Disney. There is not a day that goes by that I'm not reading or watching something about Disney. I am currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree and working as well. I live right outside of Chicago, but visit Walt Disney World Resort several times a year.
