For Epcot lovers, staying near the magic of the park is the starting point of a perfect vacation. Epcot resorts offer beauty, luxury and convenience that keep guests returning to make memories year after year.
10. The Resorts are Beautifully Themed.
Theming of the Epcot resorts are well suited to their location and are reminiscent of seaside towns of yesteryear. The Yacht & Beach Club’s nautical New England theme exudes old world class and style while Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is a bright representation of an early 1900s Boardwalk town. The Swan & Dolphin have less Disney touches in hotel rooms but consistently please guests with gorgeous resort design and dining.
9. Logistics and Layout of the Epcot Resorts are Genuis.
The Epcot resort ring is so well planned that it could only be a work of Disney. Epcot resorts are so different, each offering their own amenities and advantages while still looking so well organized and beautiful alongside each other. Bike rentals on the Boardwalk are a great way to tour the resorts while enjoying the breeze off the lake and beautiful Florida sunshine.
8. Transportation is a breeze for Epcot Resort Guests.
Easy transportation is one of the advantages you are paying for when you stay at an Epcot resort. Boat access to Hollywood Studios and Epcot is available along with easy walking access to both parks. The trek to Hollywood Studios is a bit longer than the walk to Epcot. Bus access to other Walt Disney World parks and Disney Springs is available from the resorts as well. Nothing beats a short boat ride back to your room after a late evening watching Illuminations at Epcot or Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios.
7. Dining Opportunities are abundant on the Boardwalk.
Deluxe dining and walk up options are available all over the Boardwalk and at Epcot resorts. If you are looking for delicious steak and seafood Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club is a great option. Delicious sweet treats are available just a small walk away at the Boardwalk Bakery. Hurricane Hanna’s poolside grill is a great option for savory snacks and drinks. Regardless of the food you are in the mood for, you will never go hungry at any of the Epcot resorts.
6. Boat Access to Hollywood Studios is available.
Because they are often advertised as the “Epcot resorts” guests can tend to forget about the convenience of access to Hollywood Studios. Boat and walking access to the park is super easy and makes these resorts a great option for guests looking to spend a good bit of their vacation at Hollywood Studios. The resorts will likely become even more popular for Toy Story and Star Wars fans as park renovations continue in the coming years.
5. Guests Can Utilize the Back Gate of Epcot to Skip Crowds and Excess Walking.
Entering the back gate of Epcot can be easier for families than fighting through the crowds at the front gate. For families like mine that spend the majority of time in World Showcase, entering straight into World Showcase between Great Britain and France saves a ton of excess walking and time. Using the back gate to quickly arrive at dinner reservations in World Showcase ensures more time at the pool or in the park for families by cutting off front gate and walking time in the park.
4. Epcot Resorts Boast Incredible Pools and Amenities.
The reason I consistently return to the Yacht Club each year is hands down because of the gorgeous pools the resort offers guests. A well-stocked resort shop, great dining and access to beachside movies and activities keeps guests coming back for more. Taking a resort day to enjoy the pools and food at my resort is always a must when staying at an Epcot resort.
3. Exploring the Disney Boardwalk Is a Great Way to Spend the Evening.
Dining on the Boardwalk, going dancing at Atlantic Dance Hall, playing in the arcade, sampling baked goods at the Bakery or cheering on your favorite team at the ESPN Sports Bar are all great ways to enjoy an evening on the Boardwalk without the cost of a park ticket. Epcot resorts are a fantastic option for guests because you can build a fun vacation from the amenities available near your resort.
