The Top 5 Experiences in Epcot’s Future World

When visiting Walt Disney World’s second gate, guests can choose to immerse themselves in two completely different areas of the park. They can choose to sample the food, drink, and culture of the world by visiting the nations of the World Showcase. Or, guests can choose to glance into the future and experience stories of the natural world. Future World is the first themed area that guests walk through when arriving at Epcot and here are our top give experiences when in Future World!

5 – Epcot Character Spot – guests who visit Epcot and are looking to rub elbows with some classic Disney characters should head over to the Epcot Character Spot. Families will small children may want to consider using one of their FastPass selections for this experience because you get to meet three characters! It is also an attraction that participates in Extra Magic Hours, so resort guests may be able to sneak in without much of a line and meet the characters!

4 – Dining Options Galore – while guests may think of Epcot’s World Showcase is home to all of the great dining options at the park, you would be remiss to skip over some wonderful options in Future World. Guests looking for a quick-service option, but featuring some creative dishes should head to the Land Pavilion and find a plate at Sunshine Seasons. Guests looking for something more substantial can enjoy all-you-care-to-eat plates at the Garden Grill also at the Land Pavilion. An assortment of meats, vegetables, and other delicious sides are served to guests as the restaurant rotates around offering some wonderful views of the Living with the Land attraction. Lastly, guests who like seafood can sneak a peek into the aquarium and dine at the Coral Reef Restaurant located in the Seas Pavilion. All are great choices – be sure to check one out during your next trip!

3 – Wonders of the Deep – the Seas Pavilion features a giant aquarium with a variety of different marine life for you to learn about and see up close. Guests looking for an even more close-up view of these animals can take the DiveQuest tour and actually swim with the animals! How amazing does that sound?

2 – Thrill Rides – guests wanting to stay dry have a multitude of options of thrill rides in Future World. Guests can take a trip to Mars on Mission: Space or design and test a new concept car at Test Track. Soon, guests will be able to re-discover Soarin’ and take flight – not just around California, but around the world! We are hoping that the addition of the third theatre for Soarin’ will help with the long wait times that guests were experiencing before the attraction went down for refurbishment!

1 – The Golf Ball – the centerpiece of Epcot is the geodesic sphere that houses another wonderful attraction, Spaceship Earth. This experience tops our list because we enjoy the attraction, but we also love marveling in the design of the sphere and taking photos of it as it towers over the park, especially at night!

Epcot’s Future World is home to many things for the family to see and enjoy. There are many more experiences that call Future World home, but these are our top five. What experiences do you all enjoy in Future World?
