Disney is known for its creativity, design, and incredible attention to detail. And its theme parks showcase that perfectly. One of the best places to notice that is in their indoor rides. Indoor rides at Disney World are fantastic in so many ways. They are a wonderful visual experience, they offer a nice cool place when it’s hot and a dry place when it’s wet raining, and they truly transport you into a completely different world. Here are the top 10 indoor rides and attractions in all of Magic Kingdom.

10. Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid

If we’re really talking about being transported to a completely different world, this ride has it all. The queue itself is full of detail; it’s really quite amazing. And don’t forget the talking seagull! Once inside your clamshell, you are basically brought directly into the movie. You’re underwater, there are singing fish, and a crazy sea witch. What more could you want in a ride?

9. The Hall of Presidents

This attraction might not be the first one that comes to mind when you think Disney World, but it’s really worth a second look. Yes, it’s air-conditioned and that’s nice and all, but it’s also extremely informative. Besides informing us all about our founding fathers, it also shows us how great Disney technology and animatronics really are. So give it a first or second look and spend sometime in the queue area, you may learn something you didn’t know!

8. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

This is one ride that Walt himself personally created for the 1964 New York World’s Fair. It’s a Magic Kingdom classic and can only be found in Magic Kingdom today. You will travel through time with the classic American family to the past, present, and future. And always remember, “there’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day”!

7. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

There’s nothing wrong with a little friendly competition, right? Join Buzz on his fight against Zurg, while earning points for every Z target you hit! This one’s fun for the whole family! Do you know what spot to hit to get the max amount of points?

6. Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Easily one of the most overlooked attractions in all of Walt Disney World, Mickey’s PhilharMagic is the perfect attraction for everyone in the family. You’ll experience classic Disney songs in 3D, or I guess that would be 4D since you’ll experience smells too! I love everything about this attraction; and I know you will too!

5. It’s a Small World

A trip to Disney World just wouldn’t be the same without at least one ride on It’s a Small World. Yes, the song will get stuck in your head, but it’s a classic! Let’s not forget the beautiful message this attraction teaches us. I mean it is “the happiest cruise that ever sailed” after all!

4. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

If heffalumps and woozles are your thing, then this is the ride for you. Board your hunny pot, and join Pooh and friends on a very blustery day! You’ll twist and turn and bounce your way through this classic storybook. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this Magic Kingdom classic! Plus, with the addition of the new interactive queue, waiting in line isn’t so bad!

3. Peter Pan’s Flight

As soon as you board the pirate ship, you are immediately whisked away and into the sky. You will fly from scene to scene, joining Peter Pan, Wendy, and the whole gang on their trip to Never Land! Keep an eye out for Captain Hook and his crew!

2. Pirates of the Caribbean

Not only is this an extremely popular ride, but it has also become an extremely popular movie series. From the moment you step inside the line queue, you are transported back in time where you will find loads of lively pirates along the way. With the new addition of Captain Jack Sparrow, the ride comes to life even more. Let that sink in for a moment, a ride becomes a movie, and then the movie is brought back into the ride! How interesting!

1. Haunted Mansion

Welcome foolish mortals… to the best indoor ride in all of Magic Kingdom (in my opinion). Before even entering the ride itself, or even the queue for that matter, you will notice the striking mansion from afar. Its gothic exterior and stunning detail draw you in at first glance. As you enter the fun, interactive queue, you will find that it will lighten your spirits! (no pun intended… well maybe) Once inside the mansion, you will enter the stretching room, where you will first meet your “ghost host”. Can you tell if this haunted room is actually stretching or if it’s just your imagination? Next, you will enter your doom buggy and tour the mansion and its grounds, where you will meet 999 happy haunts. But be careful not to pick up any hitchhiking ghosts!

Not only are these rides filled with detail and creativity, but they’re fun for guests of all ages! Whether you’re tall, small, young or old, these rides can create memories for the whole family. So next time you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, take some time to really appreciate the indoor rides. I promise they won’t disappoint! Did your favorite indoor ride or attraction make the list?
