Top 10 Princess Experiences at Disney World

Walt Disney World is the perfect vacation destination to indulge in your princess side. Between character dining, meet and greets, and stage shows, there are so many options for Disney princess experiences on your next visit. Here are my top 10 picks for the best princess experiences at Disney World:

10. Shopping!

Shopping is the perfect princess experience, because let’s face it—what princess doesn’t enjoy a good shopping trip? The best places to shop for princess items for younger royalty, in my opinion, are the shops in Fantasyland and World of Disney at Downtown Disney. If bringing your princess shopping sounds like an expensive experience, load some money onto a Disney Princess gift card before your trip, so she can go shopping with “her money.” For the grown up princess in your life, stop by Summer Lace at the Grand Floridian, and the shops on Main Street U.S.A.

9. Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage

This performance, located in Hollywood Studios is a must do for Belle fans. While the show recaps the entire story of Beauty and the Beast, princesses will be in awe when the ballroom scene takes place. Belle and the Beast dance together just like in the movie, and the background ballroom dancers and Belle’s dress are certainly not to be missed.

8. Dream Along with Mickey

This live castle stage show is performed daily in the Magic Kingdom, and features appearances from Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora, as well as their respective princes. Each princess has a quick dance with her prince, and helps to get across the show’s message that dreams can come true. This show is also perfect for the whole family, in that there is a nice mix of characters and is not entirely boy or girl oriented.

7. Festival of Fantasy Parade

Disney’s newest parade, the Festival of Fantasy Parade features a number of princesses, that are sure to please any princess fan in the crowd. The princesses parade through the Magic Kingdom on elaborately themed floats, with beautiful background music and dancing. The princesses seen in this parade include Tiana, Anna, Elsa (technically a queen, I know), Cinderella, Belle, Merida, Snow White, and Rapunzel.

6. Meet and Greets in World Showcase

World Showcase, in Epcot, is the perfect way for princess fans to spend their day. Many of the countries feature meet and greets with princesses, including Snow White in Germany, Jasmine in Morocco, and Aurora in France. World Showcase has other offerings princess fans will enjoy as well, particularly in the form of shopping. The shops in World Showcase offer items unique to those countries, and you can even find jewelry and tiaras—things every princess needs.

5. Princess Fairytale Hall

For the ultimate princess experience, be sure to visit Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland. The hall is beautifully themed to represent royalty at its finest, and inside guests are able to meet Anna, Elsa, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. Waits for this experience tend to be very long, so I would recommend either using FastPass+ or going early in the morning or late at night.

4. Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table, is the perfect princess experience for those looking to dine in Cinderella Castle. This experience comes with a photo package, where guests can take home a PhotoPass photo with Cinderella herself. After taking a photo with Cinderella guests are given a small keepsake as well, either a wand or a sword. The waiting area for the restaurant, and the dining area, are both worth the reservation just to see how beautiful, and fit for a princess, the interior of the castle is. During your meal, you are able to meet other princesses as well, though the characters here vary so there is no guarantee for who you’ll meet, Ariel, Snow White, and Aurora have typically been there from my experience.

3. Enchanted Tales with Belle

Enchanted Tales with Belle is located in New Fantasyland, adjacent to Gaston’s Tavern. This experience allows guests to enter the world of Beauty and the Beast, and see some familiar characters along the way. The premise here is that the younger guests are going to reenact the story of Beauty and the Beast and put on a play for Belle. When the performance is about to begin in Belle’s library, the princess comes out, in her gold dress. This is the perfect opportunity to take some unique photos with one of the princesses, as this interaction is so much more special than an ordinary meet and greet.

2. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, located in Epcot’s Norway pavilion, is a princess character dining experience. This experience includes a professional photo with Belle, and the ability to meet some of the other princesses during your meal. In addition, many younger guests attend this meal dressed as their favorite Disney princesses, and are able to participate in a parade around the restaurant with the princesses themselves.

1. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is the ultimate princess experience at Walt Disney World. There are two locations, one in Magic Kingdom, and one in Downtown Disney. Both offer the same product, of transforming guests into their favorite princesses. There are plenty of costumes and packages to choose from (ranging from $59.95 to $194.95), and each guest will have her hair and makeup done as well. While adults are not able to dress up, they can still attend and have their hair and makeup done if they like.
