10 Exciting Additions Coming To Walt Disney World Resort

One of the best things about Disney World is the fact that it’s always evolving, changing to suit the tastes of new generations. While it is sometimes sad to watch old favorites go away, waiting excitedly for all the upcoming happenings almost always makes up for it.

Lucky for us, there are tons of amazing new additions coming to Disney World, and we are so excited we can hardly bear it!

1. Star Wars Land at Hollywood Studios

The first new big addition is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which will be opening in fall 2019 in Hollywood Studios. This new land is going to be unbelievable, with detailed theming unlike anything you could ever imagine. If you’re a Star Wars fan—and even if you’re not—you will want to make sure to see this during your next Disney trip.

2. Mickey Ride at Hollywood Studios

As if Star Wars Land and the brand new Toy Story Land weren’t enough, Hollywood Studios is also getting another new ride. This one will take the place of The Great Movie Ride, and will be called Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

We don’t know a lot about the ride just yet, but we do know it will feature many of the classic Disney characters, which is sure to be a lot of fun. This ride is also slated to open in 2019, but an exact date isn’t available yet.

3.  Star Wars Hotel

Along with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, there will also be an incredible new Star Wars hotel opening near Hollywood Studios. This hotel will immerse guests in the world of Star Warsand the experience will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Watch for this hotel in the next few years.

4. Ratatouille at Epcot

Considering the success of the Frozen-themed “Frozen Ever After” in Epcot’s World Showcase, it comes as no surprise that the park is looking to add more characters into this area of the park.

Their first move? Adding Ratatouilleto the France Pavilion. This is very fitting, and since there is a Ratatouilleride already up and running in Disneyland Paris, the park even has a head start on this one, meaning we might see this one in late spring 2020!
