Paddlefish at Disney Springs

4. Paddlefish

If you’re fishing for a new one-of-a-kind dining experience that is quite literally right on the water then check out Paddlefish in Disney Springs. The restaurant, which opened this past February, is actually housed within a luxury steamboat docked on the waterfront of Lake Buena Vista. This wonder on water formerly operated as Fulton’s Crab House. But even before that, back in 1977, it was the Empress Lilly—named after Walt Disney’s wife Lillian. Now with this whole new venture the restaurant has been reimagined once more. The original smokestacks and iconic paddlewheel that were a part of the boat when it was the Empress Lilly have even been restored to their former glory. Additionally, Paddlefish Restaurant also introduces a brand new rooftop-level bar with unparalleled views of the water and surrounding Disney Springs.

While still young, Paddlefish is already a popular pick for waterfront dining and is well on its way to becoming a classic. The lush, bountiful menu boasts plenty of delicious seafood presentations for both lunch and dinner. To start off with something traditional, there are crab cakes, mussels, or calamari options. Or perhaps you’re hankering to try one of the innovative house presentations, like the lobster corn dogs or crab fries. Conch and clam chowder are also highly sought out soup selections here. Fresh seafood entrées are always available in abundance, but the restaurant also offers a wide range of land fare choices as well. And don’t forget about the myriad drinks, ranging in American craft brews, import and domestic offerings, red and white wines by the glass, libations and rocks, and so many other choices. Paddlefish also has extensive menu items for children as well as an array of diverse dessert features.
