10 Places For Scoring A Healthy Meal Around Magic Kingdom Park

Pecos Bill

8. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café

You may know this quick service eatery in Frontierland as the go-to place for old Southwest favorites and Tex-Mex cuisine, but did you know the menu here also dishes up a couple healthier meal alternatives as well? For those not too keen on embracing the bolder burger picks here, there are several different salads and other lighter offerings. The Veggie Rice Bowl is always a great suggestion, with yellow rice topped with black beans and roasted vegetables. There’s also the Southwest Salad, topped with roasted corn, bean salsa, tomatoes, and tortilla chips, all on a bed of mixed greens. Note, the Southwest Salad also comes available with chicken or spicy beef toppings, and conscious eaters may opt to order the salad without the tortilla chips. But for those who really can’t resist a good taco, keep in mind that the taco “fixin’s bar” makes it possible to pack in more veggies and healthier toppings. For children there are two Mickey Check Meal options available—the Rice and Bean Bowl, served with GoGo squeeze® applesauce and carrots, or Smucker’s® Uncrustables® also featuring the same sides. You may also decide to get a Dannon® Greek Yogurt for a delicious dessert alternative.
