10 Restaurants Your Kids Will Love At Disney Parks

Prime Time Cafe

Picky-eaters and foodies alike can agree that Walt Disney World has cuisine worth raving about. However, it can be difficult to select restaurants for a variety of appetites. Specifically, where should you make reservations if you and your spouse are adventurous eaters and your children are stuck on chicken fingers? Look no further! We have compiled a list of our favorite restaurants that will leave you feeling satisfied and your children feeling enchanted.

10. Have a Home Cooked Meal

Starting our delicious journey at Hollywood Studios, the 50s Prime Time Café is delight for all ages. Fashioned to look like a 50s/60s style home, this can be a fun opportunity to share childhood memories with your little ones. This may not be the best option for extremely shy children, since the cast members will tease guests like family. Otherwise, this is an entertaining locale with yummy comfort food on the menu. (Just make sure your children don’t order any vegetables they absolutely hate. The wait staff may insist they clean their plates.)

9. Travel Back in Time

Sci-Fi Dine In Theater

Continuing with “themed” dining experiences, the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant comes highly recommended. This memorable restaurant will literally take your family back to a time when drive-ins thrived. The restaurant itself mimics a drive-in at twilight and features a movie screen, tables shaped like vehicles, and a ceiling painted to look like an endless, night sky. As you enjoy your meal, short cartoons and previews for classic monster flicks will play on. Regarding the menu, it has some daring selections, but there are mostly safe burger/fries/milkshake options. So while the menu won’t blow you away, it won’t disappoint. Besides, the real attraction is the atmosphere. It’s wonderful.

8. Trek Through a Rainforest

Rainforest Cafe

Speaking of atmosphere, The Rain Forest Café has been delighting visitors for ages with its exotic ambience. And if you’d like to visit, you don’t even need to catch a bus to Disney Springs! There is a location right inside The Animal Kingdom for your convenience. Enjoy your meal inside a realistic rain forest that has hourly thunder storms and tons of photo ops. While you feast and enjoy a cocktail, your kids will be delighted by the huge aquariums and animatronic elephants, gorillas, butterflies, and more. This meal is always an adventure.

7. An Animal Kingdom Buffet

Mickey Mouse

The Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom is a glorious option thanks to its absolutely delicious food and exclusive character meet and greets. Inspired by an open-air Harambe marketplace, the buffet is full of choices. (The more inventive dishes are inspired by African delicacies, so I’d recommend loading up your plate.) In between servings, Mickey and his friends will visit the tables while donning their best Safari gear. If there’s anything better than a great meal and meeting characters without lines, then I haven’t discovered it yet.
