4. Neglecting to Read Dining Policies
Make sure you understand the cancellation policies for any dining reservations you make on the property. The same goes for hotels, ticketed events, and activities on the property. Disney policies tend to be really straightforward and easy to understand. Still, plan and read the policies to ensure you are not hit with an unexpected dining cancellation charge if you change your mind about a restaurant booking.
5. Underestimating the Budget
Walt Disney World can be an affordable vacation destination. Still, a mistake that guests often make, is underestimating their Disney spending budget for souvenirs and dining on the property. Be proactive and research pricing, make a budget for each day and stick to it. The vacation will be more fun for everyone if you can avoid sticker shock.
6. Only Considering Deluxe Resorts
When you say Walt Disney World Resort people often think of The Grand Floridian lobby or the monorail crossing though the lobby of the Contemporary. No doubt, deluxe resorts are incredible. Still, there are great resorts that cost a bit less and are grouped in the moderate or value resort category. Take the time to research all the Disney resorts and then decide which one is right for your family.
7. Assuming You Cannot Afford to Stay on Property
The exact opposite of the previous tip, some guests write off the thought of staying on the Disney property without even investigating pricing options. If you stay off the property without checking resort prices, you are doing Disney wrong.
