4. Choosing a Place to Stay

You have many options of places to stay for a Walt Disney World Vacation. There are more than 25 Resort Hotels owned and operated by Walt Disney World. Staying in one of these hotels puts you close to the action, and gives you advantages like Extra Magic Hours, the option of the the Disney Dining Plan, and the opportunity to make FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance. The hotels are available in deluxe, moderate, and value price ranges. But you can also save some money by staying at an off-site hotel. Just be sure to factor in any extra expenses like transportation. And be sure you know how close your hotel is to the Walt Disney World property. My husband once encountered a couple at an Orlando Airport hotel who were shocked to learn that they were nearly 20 miles from Disney World and that the hotel did not provide a Disney shuttle. Do your research!
