15 Things You Must Do At Disney World's Hollywood Studios Park

Tower Of Terror

It’s not hard for me to pick my favorite Walt Disney World Park. Growing up, Hollywood Studios, or Disney’s MGM Studios as it used to be called, held all the thrills and magic my young heart was looking for. Now that I’m older, my love for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and dining at the Hollywood Brown Derby have only increased as new and exciting ventures have been brought to the park. Here are 15 things you must do at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios Park.

1. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Even if you have no familiarity with any of the Twilight Zone references that are abundant on the ride, it’s still something you must-do during your day at Hollywood Studios. The ride is massive, allowing you to walk the deserted property that’s overrun with weeds before going into the hotel that’s been lost in time. The attraction itself encompasses this whole story line before you even get on the ride and that’s what I love about it. It’s a thrill ride that’ll leave you and your guests screaming your head off. It is without a doubt, my favorite ride in all of Walt Disney World, but especially in Hollywood Studios.

2. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

Again, even if you aren’t familiar with any Aerosmith songs, you won’t care because this spiraling rollercoaster puts the pedal to the metal, driving passengers at a nice 60 mphs in three seconds. This rollercoaster has it all: loops, corkscrews, loud music and best of all, is completely in the dark with nothing but iconic Hollywood landmarks glowing beside you. It is one of the most thrilling experiences you’ll encounter in the park. Like the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, this rollercoaster tells a story and you become fully immersed in before you even buckle your seatbelt.

3. Fantasmic!

Capping off each night in Hollywood Studios is Fantasmic! Here, you have the opportunity to kick back and get lost in the story as Mickey Mouse fights off villian after villian. The show ends with a slew of your favorite Disney characters singing and dancing on boats as they travel around the island. What I love about this performance is that, even though I’ve watched it a million times, the effects never get old. It’s a unique show that’s perfect for the whole family.
