6 Reasons to Stay at the Epcot Area Resorts

Yacht and Beach Club

When staying onsite at Disney, guests need to make the all important decision about what resort to stay at.  The choice is individual, but guests should consider a variety of factors when choosing with resort to call home while on vacation.  Given the choice of resorts, we love the Epcot Area Resorts for a bunch of reasons, but here is our list of the six reasons to stay at one of these resorts!

1.  Location

The resorts situated around Crescent Lake (Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, the Swan, and the Dolphin) are centrally located to two of the four theme parks on property.  Guests can easily walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as Epcot staying at either of these resorts.  The location and proximity to Epcot cannot be understated as guests have the ability to easily enter Epcot through the International Gateway and avoid massive crowds at the front of the park.  This can be especially important when visiting during the busy festival season which spans from August with the beginning of the International Food and Wine Festival through the last weekend of the Flower and Garden Festival in May. Plus, with new rides opening at Epcot between now and the 50th anniversary in 2021, this will become an even highly prized location, not to mention the imminent opening to Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios!

2. Hotel Theming

Between the five resorts, guests will find highly themed resorts with intricate detailing that will immerse guests in the theme of the resort.  From the carpet, to the restaurants, as well as the uniforms of Cast Members, guests will enjoy looking for these small details that tie to the hotel theme. You’ll love the slightly salty air in the lobby of the Beach Club or the crisp air found in the lobby of the Yacht Club. The theming carries through into the rooms guests will call home during their vacations, too!

3. Great Restaurants

Regardless of the resort you choose to call home, all of these resorts are home to some of the best restaurants on property!  It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a great steak — check out the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club or Shula’s Steak House at the Dolphin Resort.  If you want a savory dish of Italian food, you might want to check out Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk.  While guests desiring delicious seafood are encouraged to grab a table at Cape May Café at the Beach Club, Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, or Todd English’s bluezoo at the Dolphin Resort.  The proximity of these resorts to one another means that you’re never more than a 15 minute walk from any of the resorts in the Epcot Resort Area!
