7 Experiences at Walt Disney World That Have Closed Over the Years

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

7) The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights

For many Disney fans, this is the single saddest closure in Walt Disney World history, myself included. This beautiful Christmas lights and decorations display danced its way into the hearts of millions of guests from 1995 until 2016. The display was in the Streets of America section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which had plenty of space, enabling guests to walk around and feel immersed in the experience. Unfortunately, the lights danced for the final time on January 6, 2016. The area is currently being demolished as Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land are being constructed in that space.

Even though we all love when new experiences come to the parks, it’s still sad to see our favorite attractions and entertainment close. However, we will always hold onto the memories they gave us and we continue to welcome newness with open arms.
