6. Fireworks, pyrotechnics and projections, oh my
It cannot be denied that Wishes was a little old school, which is why we loved it so much. It didn’t need projections or the like because Celebrate the Magic filled that void. When Celebrate the Magic was replaced, it left that hole that Wishes simply couldn’t fill on its own, and Once Upon a Time just didn’t quite do the job, either. Happily Ever After has an excellent mix of fireworks, projections, pyrotechnics and even lasers that enhance, rather than detract, from the experience. While it may not have worked for Wishes, it certainly works for this show and brings it up to speed with the technology we are accustomed to today.
