9 Most Exciting Restaurant Experiences in Walt Disney World Parks

Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken

Let's Recap!

1. Restaurant Marrakesh – Moroccan Pavilion, Epcot

This restaurant serves up spicy and savory Moroccan dishes like roasted lamb, chicken kebabs and salmon. Live Moroccan music sets the stage for a belly dancing show in the dining room. Guests consistently enjoy the food and dining experience at this World Showcase eatery.

2. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, Commissary Lane, Hollywood Studios

It does not get much more exciting then dining in a car at a 1950’s style drive in movie theatre. Guests enjoy American favorites like burgers, fries and shakes while they dine in throwback splendor and watch clips of classic sci-fi movies on a big screen.

3. Teppan Edo Japan – Japanese Pavilion, Epcot

All the excitement of a Japanese steakhouse with the magic of Disney, add this table service restaurant to the must eat list. A great sushi selection, sake menu and of course hibachi style meat and seafood make for a delicious lunch or dinner during a day at Epcot.

4. Be Our Guest- New Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom

If you have ever dreamed of stepping into the Beast’s castle, you are in luck.  Dine in the castle when you enjoy lunch or dinner at Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom.  The French food is reminiscent of the fare in Epcot’s French pavilion. My favorite menu items are the braised pork and French onion soup. Dining in the West Wing or the famous ballroom from the movie are guest highlights.

5. Garden Grill – Future World The Land, Epcot

This bottomless table service eatery is a hit with guests because it is a character dining experience. It makes this list because it up’s the excitement level by rotating during your meal. Located above the boat ride Living With the Land, Garden Grill rotates to reveal the ecosystems shown in the ride below.

6. 50’s Prime Time Café – Echo Lake, Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios guests dining at 50’s Prime Time Café literally step back in time to a 1950’s home complete with tiny television sets on tables, vintage décor and a server (mom or dad) that nag you to use your best manners and clean your plate. The theming and cast member interactions at this eatery are exciting to say the least; the fun environment coupled with delicious home-style food makes it a guest favorite.

7. Biergarten Restaurant – German Pavilion, Epcot

Cheaper than hopping a plane to Germany, this dining stop will leave you with an authentic German biergarten experience. The ambiance is pure alpine charm with a German band cranking out authentic tunes as guests enjoy plenty of beer, brauts and other German dishes.

8. Coral Reef – Future World The Living Seas, Epcot

If you want to dine under the sea, snag a table at Coral Reef restaurant.  This restaurant serves up yummy seafood in Epcot’s Future World. After all, what could be more exciting, beautiful and immersive than dining as fish swim past your table?

9. Cinderella’s Royal Table – Cinderella Castle, Magic Kingdom

This dining spot is a guest favorite for many reasons including the fact that diners get to meet Cinderella and Prince Charming. Aside from the character meet excitement at this restaurant, just dining inside Cinderella Castle is an experience in itself. The view of Fantasyland from the restaurant and seeing more of the iconic castle than the average park guest sees are benefits that make dining at Cinderella Castle the pinnacle in dining excitement for many guests.

Honorable Mention – Character Dining

Walt Disney World diehard fans will argue that character dining is a great way to see characters and enjoy a fun meal and I totally agree! For the purpose of this article, we zeroed in on exciting dining experiences outside character dining. However, meeting Mickey and Minnie at Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios or the princesses at Akershus Banquet Hall are awesome experiences that we totally recommend!

Honorable Mention – Animal Kingdom Dining

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some delicious and fun dining options that immerse guests in a different culture or even a different world.  Satu’li Canteen in Pandora is an awesome quick service eatery option for guests looking to enjoy a fresh and hearty lunch or dinner between rides.  If you are searching for a table service option a favorite of my family is Yak & Yeti. Animal Kingdom has a plethora of restaurants with great menus and beautiful theming for guests to enjoy.
