A Disney Fan’s Guide to Visiting Orlando Florida

Groceries

5. Explore Nearby Shopping Centers for Groceries

Take the time to do some research on nearby shopping centers that your family could visit to snag groceries upon arrival in Orlando. While it is true that stores farther from theme park properties tend to have better prices, fighting Orlando traffic miles and miles from your resort is not a good use of vacation time. Find a grocery store near your resort and snag groceries to save money on dining.  Better yet, order ahead and have your groceries ready for pickup upon arrival at the store.

4. Explore Orlando

So many fun activities in Orlando have nothing to do with the major theme parks in town.  Mini golf, waterparks, shopping and eating are some of my favorite things to do in Orlando if I am looking for some Florida fun away from a theme park.

3. Shop Till You Drop

If you are in need of retail therapy, you have hit the mark by booking an Orlando vacation.  Outlet malls, freestanding stores and traditional malls are all nearby in Orlando.  The Mall at Millenia and Orlando International Premium Outlets are two of my favorite shopping locations off resort property in Orlando.
