Amazing Perks You'll Enjoy While Staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel

Contemporary Resort

When deciding where to stay during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, the options can seem a little overwhelming at first, and many families aren’t sure if staying on property is worth it or not. But, the perks associated with staying on property at a Walt Disney World resort hotel are some of the most amazing perks you will find anywhere! Here are some of our favorite parts of staying on site, and some of the perks you’ll get to enjoy if you decide to stay on property during your upcoming vacation.

1. Disney’s Magical Express

If you’re flying into Orlando and staying on property, don’t worry about waiting for a taxi and dealing with your luggage once you arrive in Florida. Disney’s Magical Express can help you out! Part of staying on site is access to the bus both to your resort upon arrival and for getting back to the airport at the end of your stay. Another great perk is that you and your family won’t have to handle your luggage – Disney does it for you! Your family’s luggage will be waiting in your resort room, which means less time worrying about logistics and more time exploring your resort, Disney Springs, or the parks!

2. Complimentary Transportation Around the Property

Disney’s Magical Express isn’t the only transportation service you can enjoy when staying on property! There are a number of other transportation services available at each resort for getting to and from the parks. All resorts have access to Disney’s large fleet of buses, which can easily transport guests to each of the four parks, the water parks, and Disney Springs. Some resorts near waterways have access to boat transportation to Disney Springs, Epcot, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Other resorts are right along the Monorail line, which is especially helpful for getting to Epcot or Magic Kingdom. Be sure to check the transportation options available at the resorts you’re thinking of booking to determine the best options for you and your family.

3. Extra Magic Hours

Worried about crowds at the parks? Want to be able to take advantage of as many of the attractions as possible? Don’t want to miss anything? You can enjoy as much of the parks as you possibly can as a Walt Disney World resort guest! Resort guests can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which means they can access the parks one hour before other guests and can stay in the parks up to two hours after other guests head home for the night. This is a fantastic perk for both early birds and night owls who prefer the parks when they are quieter!
