Disney Resorts With the Easiest Access to the Parks

Beach Club vs Boardwalk

Activities Outside the Park

Guests at Yacht & Beach Club Resorts have so many fun activities to enjoy around the resort, they can easily spend a whole day outside the parks enjoying resort amenities. If you are looking to splurge on a spa treatment drop by the Ship Shape Massage Salon at Yacht Club. A full massage menu is available along with a salon offering an array of cut, color and styling options and a nail bar.

Keep up with your fitness routine in the 24-hour fitness center or enjoy snacks at Hurricane Hanna’s poolside eatery after your workout or spa treatment. Speaking of pools, you will enjoy some incredible ones at the Yacht & Beach Club, more on that later! If water adventures are your thing, consider booking a fishing excursion or a boating trip around Crescent Lake. Volleyball courts, tennis courts and a jogging trail surrounding the property provide fun ways to stay active on your trip. Wind down at the end of the day around a campfire on the beach or enjoy Disney movies under the stars.

Top Notch Pools

The pools at Yacht & Beach Club are quite simply my favorite of all Walt Disney World Resort pools. With two waterslides, zero entry beach style pools with sand covered floors, dozens of lounge chairs surrounding the deck, hot tubs and a lazy river - Stormalong Bay pool is pretty much a mini waterpark. Plan to spend at least one full day at the pool during your stay. The 230-foot water slide transports guests down a broken ship mast directly from a massive ship wreck into a pool grotto. The tidal pool has a kid-sized waterslide and is located in the giant shipwreck that borders Crescent Lake Beach. Snag an innertube to ride along the lazy river as kids play games of Marco Polo with activity counselors.

If you are looking for a quieter pool there are more options. Dunes Cove Pool is located within Beach Club and Admiral Pool is in the Yacht Club Resort garden area. Both Yacht Club and Beach Club resort guests are welcome to enjoy all three resort pools. Be sure to wear your Magic Band to the pool as each resort guest (even kids) using the pool has to enter through a checkpoint. That’s right, these resort pools are such showstoppers Disney has to have security to keep non-resort guests from sneaking in to enjoy this incredible pool!

Beaches and Cream

Excellent Dining Options

Hope you are hungry! There are some awesome quick service and table service dining options at these resorts. My family’s favorite ice cream shop at Walt Disney World, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is a short walk from Stormalong Bay and worth a visit for sundaes and shakes. They even serve the famous Kitchen Sink ice cream creation that will feed your whole family. Crew Cup Lounge in Yacht Club offers hearty table service seafood dining options in a laid-back atmosphere.

Yachtsman Steakhouse serves up juicy steaks and sides with Maine Lobster and charcuterie boards in an atmosphere of New England elegance. Guests looking for a character dining experience can enjoy a breakfast buffet with Mickey and Minnie at Cape May Café in the Beach Club lobby. The dinner buffet with all you can eat crab legs is a not to be missed dining experience for seafood lovers. All the eateries at Yacht & Beach Club Resorts are amazing, check out the Walt Disney World website for full menus with prices as you decide where to dine on vacation.
