Disney World Survival Guide – Know Before Going to Walt Disney World

Disney Castle _ Disney World Survival Guide
A little planning goes a long way when preparing for your trip to Walt Disney World. First time to Disney? It might be time to check out this Disney World Survival Guide.

Pre-planning Details of Your Trip

Preplanning details of your trip with the group before leaving home will make things run smoothly on your vacation.  Besides, getting there is half the fun.  Use the my Disney experience app to browse FastPasses, attractions, restaurants and park plans and talk with your family about what attractions are on the must do list for each family member.  Even having a loose park plan will help pace your vacation and avoid hang-ups.

Walk-Up Dining Reservations May Be Tough to Snag

Securing advanced dining reservations prior to the vacation are particularly important.  If you even think you may be interested in trying out a Disney restaurant go ahead and make a reservation in advance.  There is no charge to cancel as long as you do so before the 24 window around your reservation.  The few restaurants that do require upfront payment for booking like Cinderella’s Castle and Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show are nonrefundable.  However, guests will be clearly notified of terms and conditions of reservations and refunds upon booking so there are never any surprise charges for cancelling.
