Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort - 9 Reasons to Love It!

Treehouse at Saratoga Springs

Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is a great big beautiful resort located across the waterway from Disney Springs.  With over 1,300 rooms on property, it is Disney Vacation Club’s largest property. Saratoga Springs is often overlooked, perhaps due to its age (having opened in 2004) and it’s perceived inconvenience to the 4 main theme parks.  Saratoga Springs Resort has a lot going for it, and you might want to check out these 9 reasons to love it before making your next reservation at another resort!

1. The Turf Club

The Turf Club is a lesser known restaurant at Walt Disney World, but many really enjoy their offerings.  The menu boasts a variety of American classics, such as pork loin, prime rib, fried chicken, sustainable fish, and strip steak.  There’s plenty to love about the Turf Club in addition to the food- you can play pool, enjoy the equestrian theming and decor, and take in the lake and golf course views.

2. Phenomenal Grounds

You may do a lot of walking here, but the grounds at Saratoga Springs are gorgeous.  The lakes and fountains, lush greenery, and lovely bridge all add to the overall charm.  On the flip side, people who don’t love Saratoga Springs do complain that the resort is a bit too big.  There are multiple sections of the resort, each having perceived advantages.  Some are much closer to the walking pathway to Disney Springs, others are close to pools with slides, and other sections are closer to the main lobby and food.

3. Easy Access to Disney Springs

Perhaps the biggest draw of Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the proximity to Disney Springs.  Having close park access is always a plus, but being able to take a short boat ride or even walk to Disney Springs is hugely convenient.  The location makes taking an impromptu shopping trip possible, and the access to dozens of primo restaurants is another huge plus! Disney Springs has evolved tremendously over the last few years, so if you haven’t taken full advantage of all the new roaming entertainment, quick and sit-down meals, and new shopping options, a stay at Saratoga Springs will really give you the chance to pop over a few times during your trip without the hassle of busses.

4. The Treehouse Villas

The Treehouse Villas are a unique feature of Saratoga Springs Resort.  Saratoga offers traditional room layouts that most other DVC resorts have; deluxe studios, as well as 1- and 2- and 3- bedroom villas.  The Treehouse Villas represent one of the resort’s 3-bedroom options. In addition to sleeping the up to 9 guests, the Villas are “in the trees”, about 10 feet off the ground.  Each has its own private deck and charcoal grill as well for your family to enjoy.
