How to Pack For Disney in a Post Quarantine World

Disney Suitcase

As we prepare to eventually adjust to our new reality in a post-quarantine world, many of us are probably struggling with how to keep ourselves and our loves ones safe. Safety is particularly critical than in Walt Disney World, where thousands of people from around the United States and the world flood into tightly pack themed parks, attraction lines, and quick serves restaurants every day. In preparation, here are tips on how to keep yourself healthy on vacation.

Antibacterial Wipes

We get it. For kids, it’s hard to not want to touch everything in Disney World. With so many colors and lights and new experiences, it’s no wonder children revel in grabbing onto every surface that comes their way. This has been a problem long before coronavirus plagued our world. Keep your kids and yourself safe by refraining for touching handrails, doors, and other easy contaminated surfaces. In the event that you sit down for a meal or grab a pair of 3D glasses, wiping down those surfaces with wipes will help kill off any bacteria.

Bring more outfits than you’d typically bring

As viruses can stay on clothes, you might need to bring more outfits to avoid doing laundry while on vacation. Your clothes you wear inside your hotel room should differ from the outfits you and your family wear to the theme parks. When you do arrive back at your hotel. Change your clothes near the front door and change into fresh clothes that haven’t been exposed to the outside world.

Bring bags for the clothes you have worn out

For the clothes you DO wear out, bring separate bags to store those clothes in until you can get them washed. This will prevent any contaminated items from spreading to other items in your wardrobe and suitcase.

Clorox Wipes

When you arrive at your hotel guest room, take a few minutes and use a few clorox wipes to wipe down surfaces, TV remote, door nobs, doors, etc.... anything people touch frequently.  This is something you may want to repeat every day as Mousekeeping staff will be in and out of your room frequently.  Plus, your own family will be bringing germs into your room from the parks and restaurants. And remember to touch elevator buttons with your elbow or with a tissue covered hand.
