Magic Kingdom

For many Disney goers, Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World is their favorite park. It’s also one of the most popular theme parks in the world. Which means it’s also one of the busiest. But with a little research and planning, you can have a stress free day at MK! Planning is really the key here. And half the fun!

7. Hit As Many Rides As You Can In The A.M.

The best plan is to get there as early as you can and head straight for the rides! You’ll be surprised how many rides you can get on in the first few hours. Also, book your Fastpasses for later in the day when crowds will be heavier.

6. Visit During Off Season

As stated in the title, Magic Kingdom is truly the busiest park at Disney, but there are times when it is less busy than usual. Some of the best times to visit are after January 1st to mid February and early October. This is when crowds are generally the lowest, but rides may be closed for refurbishment.

5. Holidays Are Always Busy

No matter what time of year you visit, if it’s a holiday, it will be busy. Christmas, Easter, Labor Day, they are all busy. With that being said, Magic Kingdom is an amazing place to be during the holidays. From an incredible fireworks display on the Fourth of July to a spooky parade on Halloween, Disney knows how to make your holidays special. The good part is that Christmas and Halloween celebrations take place for weeks before the actual holiday. That way you can experience some of the festivities on much slower days.

4. Plan For A Two Day Visit

It is nearly impossible to get everything done at Magic Kingdom in one day, especially for first time visitors. There’s so much to do and see, you won’t want to miss anything because you’re racing from ride to ride. So plan to visit at least twice during your stay.

3. Use Fastpass+

If you’re staying on Disney property, you can book your fastpasses 60 days in advance and 30 days in advance if you are staying off property. This will save a tremendous amount of time, especially on some of the really popular rides. It takes some getting used to, but it’s extremely convenient!

2. Make Reservations Ahead Of Time

Magic Kingdom offers some of the best sit-down restaurants in all of Disney World. But they do fill up fast! You are able to book reservations up to 180 days ahead of time. So definitely take advantage of that!

For example, Columbia Harbour House offers some seafood options, where Pinocchio Village Haus offers a variety of flatbreads. They’re not only quick, but they’re delicious too!

Just being in Magic Kingdom alone is a delightful experience, but if you follow these helpful tips, it will make your visit that much more enjoyable!
