4. Scat Cat’s Club (French Quarter)

In addition to the refreshing cocktails and tasty beers, guests relaxing at Scat Cat’s will be able to find a small selection of snack foods. Homestyle chicken and waffles with candied bacon, a Sassagoula crab dip, as well as Mardi Gras macaroni and cheese mixed with shrimp, Andouille sausage, and a cornbread crumble, plus savory crawfish étouffée accompanied with steamed rice and a zesty shellfish stew.  Prices are reasonable, so there is no reason that you shouldn’t have more than one!

5. Boatwrights Dining Hall (Riverside)

The only table service restaurant at either resort, Boatwrights is only open for dinner and serves homestyle entrees with a Cajun-flair.  To begin your meal, guests can enjoy delicious cornbread while choosing what appetizer or entrée to have.  On the appetizer menu, you’ll find a crawfish bisque, barbecue shrimp, as well as a crawfish, shrimp, oyster, and okra mixture fried in cornmeal with a remoulade dipping sauce.  On the dinner menu, guests can have catfish, prime rib, a grilled strip steak, jambalaya, pork tenderloin, shrimp and grits, as well as étouffée and ribs.  You’ll be able to add-on some great enhancements to your meal — crawfish mac and cheese, fried okra, Southern greens, as well as red beans and rice!
