10 BIG Decisions You Must Make When Planning Your Walt Disney World Trip

9. What to Pack

You know how to pack all the basics for your crew—check the weather, add layers, throw in swimsuits and comfortable shoes. Voila! The thing that causes the most packing stress though tends to be the “park bag”—the bag you’ll keep your park-day necessities in. Ideally, a park bag will be a small backpack or cross body that is comfortable and has plenty of pockets for organization. If you have small kids, you’ll want a larger bag/backpack with all their STUFF as well, usually to be left at the stroller. Inside a park bag you’ll want: water bottle, sunscreen, bandaids, light snacks, phone, camera, portable charger, and poncho. Also, don’t forget your Magic Bands and any Disney-memory items you plan on collecting: autograph book, pin lanyard, Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom cards, or quarter-quarter-penny combinations (for pressed penny machines).
