Splurge-Worthy Experiences At Walt Disney World Resort

Dooney and Bourke

A Disney Dooney

This is more of a purchase than an experience, but it’s so much fun to look at Disney Dooney & Bourke bags. The hard part is deciding on the one you want to take home. The Disney Parks Icon tote will cost you $468. For $308, you can take home a Star Wars – the Last Jedi satchel. For $268, you can choose between the Disney Vacation Club shopper bag and the Mary Poppins tote. No matter which one you choose, you’ll enjoy carrying your Disney Dooney wherever you go! They’re great for making the magic last long after you’ve left the parks.

Disney World Platinum Annual Passes

If your family is anything like mine, you don’t have to live close to Disney in order to be there every 6 to 12 months. The minute school is out for summer, we’re packed up and headed to our happy place! We stay for nearly 3 weeks at a time, and years ago, we were sad when our 10th day in the parks had ended. No more days in the parks. No more enjoying the parks, eating at our favorite Disney World restaurants in the parks and no more enjoying our favorite attractions.

So we did what any self-respecting Disney World fanatic family would do—we bought Platinum Annual Passes. And it’s important to mention that we don’t live very close to the parks. In fact, we live 1,100 miles away in a big place called Texas. It’s the best thing we’ve ever done! Not only do we have unlimited days in the parks with no blockout dates, but we also enjoy a 20% discount on merch we buy in the parks. We even get discounts at some of our favorite restaurants. Annual Passes are a win-win-win for us, and they will be for you too.

Disney Weddings
Disney Weddings

A Wedding at Disney World

As long as we’re splurging, why not plan a wedding at Disney World? Custom weddings are created for Guests based on what they want as part of the nuptials. Do you want Mickey and Minnie to join you for your big day? That can be arranged for about $1,800. Do you want to arrive at your wedding via Cinderella’s coach? No problem—that’ll set you back about $3,000. Cost for food and beverages per person is $125, and wedding costs depend on where in the Walt Disney World Resort you will exchange vows. Minimum cost for a Disney wedding (no add-ons, no food, etc.) is around $5,000.

If you want to book Magic Kingdom for the evening, have 100 guests coming and you want the coach and Mickey and Minnie, you’re looking at over $80,000. The price increases as your number of guests and number of add-on special touches increase. But hey, wouldn’t it be the experience of a lifetime? And you’ll always be able to say you got married at Disney World! A wedding at Disney is probably the most expensive splurge you can have at the parks. (Prices subject to change by Disney)
