Tables in Wonderland - What It is and Why You Should Get it!

As Walt Disney World expands into something even better than our wildest dreams, the prices are following suit. Despite this, most guests can’t comprehend visiting Orlando without staying at their favorite resort, buying new mouse ears, and eating at their all-time favorite restaurants. Therefore; with Disney becoming more and more expensive, it’s time to put our thrifty hats on. (Believe it or not – there are still ways to save money on the ultimate vacation.) Today, we’re going to discuss an option that is tailor-made for foodies. The Tables in Wonderland card. If eligible, this card can keep your family’s tummies (and wallets) full. Let’s discuss the little-known advantages of this magical card and the world of yum that it offers!

What Is It?

The Tables in Wonderland card is a literal card that entitles guests to a 20% discount off of food and alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages in Disney World. It has an annual membership fee and restrictions on who can be a cardholder. In addition to the generous dining discounts, this card also gives guests access to special members-only dining events and includes free valet parking for dining-related park visits. (We must admit, this would be a great perk for a local who wants to have dinner in the Magic Kingdom on a busy Friday night!) If used properly, you can easily justify the cost of membership.

Who Can Purchase It?

Currently, the Tables in Wonderland card is eligible for Florida residents, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club Members. Simply put, these visitors can usually visit the parks enough to save money despite membership costs. So, if you fall into one of these three categories and love Disney Dining, then a Tables in Wonderland card probably belongs in your wallet. And for guests who aren’t eligible, there’s another reason to move to Florida or commit to several trips a year!

How Does It Work?

Once you receive your card, all you have to do is present it to your server. (Please note that the cardmember must be paying for the check.) Additionally, the cardmember can extend this discount for a party of up to 10 people. And if two diners are cardmembers, the party size can be doubled! Depending on the restaurant you pick, the savings could be pretty significant for a hungry family. Keep in mind though, you must physically have the card with you to qualify for your discount. Make sure it’s at the top of your “must-pack” list!
