Tips for Your One Day Plan at Hollywood Studios

In the past, it was easy to tackle Hollywood Studios in less than a day because Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land were being built, but now that both of those lands are fully operational for guests, some advance planning (and an early morning) are part of the experience for guests wishing to visit Hollywood Studios.  Here are some tips to keep in mind for planning your day at Hollywood Studios!

Tiered FastPass+

Hollywood Studios utilizes a tiered FastPass+ system requiring guests to choose from two very popular attractions as their first choice and relegating all of the other attractions to the second tier.  With the new lands and attractions open, guests must now choose between either Smuggler’s Run in Galaxy’s Edge or Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land.  Depending on how many thrills members of your party are seeking, either attraction is a great choice.  Your remaining two attractions can be the other attractions in the park — smart choices given the popularity of certain attractions would be Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n Roller Coaster, and Toy Story Mania.

Unique Dining Options

We have never been shy in classifying Hollywood Studios as home to some of the best themed and unique dining options on property.  Guests wanting traditional fare can find it at one of the many quick service locations throughout the park or by sitting down for a great buffet at Hollywood and Vine.  Upscale dining for a special occasion can be found at the Hollywood Brown Derby.  While truly one-of-a-kind meals and experiences await guests wanting to dine at either 50’s Prime Time Café or the Sci-Fi Dine-In.  And if a homestyle Italian meal is more your speed, you’ll want to grab a reservation for lunch or dinner at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano located in near MuppetVision 3D.

Plenty of Shows

Even though Hollywood Studios is going through a degree of change with new lands and attractions, the park still shows roots of it studio past with plenty of live entertainment offerings to guests of all ages throughout the park.  Young race fans are certain to enjoy Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, as well as Disney Junior Dance Party!  Teens and adults will appreciate the nostalgia of Beauty and the Beast, as well as the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular.  Guests can also get out of the sun and cool off by visiting one of the Frozen Sing Along shows offered throughout the day!
