5. California Grill

Atop the Contemporary Resort, California Grill is a signature dining experience that we recommend for a special occasion – an anniversary, birthday, or something more! California Grill serves guests unique sushi options, as well as fine American entrees – black grouper, king salmon, sea scallops, pork tenderloin, pork shank, or a filet of beef.  This restaurant can be very popular, so be sure to make reservations well in advance.  Moreover, since it is a signature dining experience, guests are encouraged to wear their best as there is a dress code.  If you time your reservation correctly, you will be able to see the nightly fireworks display over top of the Magic Kingdom!

6. Crew’s Cup Lounge

A hideaway located inside of the Yacht Club, Crew’s Cup Lounge invites guests to pull a seat up to the bar or relax in one of the few booths in the restaurant.  Guests can catch up on the game on the televisions around the bar, but can also enjoy a refreshing beer or cocktail in a relaxed atmosphere.  Guests wanting some food can pick from the appetizer menu featuring deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, or a baked cheese dip.  If you need something heartier, guests can have beef tenderloin tips, prime rib, or a classic pub burger!  You can’t get reservations for here, but time spent here is well spent!

7. Trail’s End

Another hidden gem located on the shores of Bay Lake at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, Trail’s End is quickly becoming the go-to destination for a delicious (and affordable) buffet. Guests can enjoy a homestyle meal here for breakfast or dinner.  In the morning, enjoy sausage, bacon, breakfast pizza, waffles, biscuits and gravy, as well as grits, a savory pork dish, and an assortment of fresh fruit. Need something sweet?  Not to worry — the dessert table is full at breakfast, too.  Dinner features fried chicken, smoked ribs, hand-carved roasted meat, pasta, as well as pizza, peel-n-eat shrimp, and macaroni and cheese!  After dinner, head down to the beach and see if you can catch the Electrical Water Pageant floating by on Bay Lake!
