If you are headed to Disney World in the near future, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve done quite a lot of planning. After all, Disney World has a lot to see and do, and making sure you see and do the things that most interest your family takes some work.
Â
We’re guessing you’ve already booked your FastPasses, made your dining reservations, and have some idea of which attractions are most important to you. What you probably haven’t planned though is the day before you first hit the parks.
Â
That’s right, even that very first day, the one before any of the real fun begins, deserves a little bit of planning. Here are our suggestions on how to fill your time after arriving in your hotel and before going to bed for a final sleep before you experience the magic of the parks.
Get Settled In
First and foremost, you need to get settled in. Unpack your bags, wash up, change clothes if you need to. If you ordered a grocery delivery, now is the time to pick that up. The goal is to get settled and comfortable before throwing yourself into vacation mode.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Florida is a hot and sunny place. Because of this, it’s very easy to become dehydrated, and dehydration can easily ruin a trip. Therefore, we highly recommend making absolutely sure you are extra hydrated before the park touring begins. Carry a water bottle with you at all times and refill it anytime you see an opportunity. You may also want to get some sort of electrolyte drink into your system.  Start your hydration routine the day before your first full day at Disney, and continue it throughout the trip.
Double Check Your Dining Reservations
The day before heading into the parks is the time to double check your dining reservations and make sure your plans all line up. This will help you out the next day and may even save you a bit of time.
