Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Dining Guide

Whispering Canyon Food

Located a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom and the rest of the Magic Kingdom resorts, Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness are hidden gems of unique dining options, wonderful food and drink, as well as entertainment for guests looking for enjoyable meals and a relaxing atmosphere.  Here is the lineup of dining options available to guests at these fabulous resorts!

1. Roaring Fork (Wilderness Lodge)

Guests looking for a quick-service meal before heading out to the parks or a snack before bed can find myriad options at Roaring Fork.  At breakfast guests will find traditional selections of waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, as well pork-cheese grits, a breakfast flatbread or a filling bagel sandwich.  For lunch and dinner guests can choose amongst filling options of a bacon cheeseburger, a smoked pulled pork sandwich, grilled cheese, bratwurst sausage, tuna salad sandwich, or a variety of salads.  Roaring Fork also serves a variety of flatbreads and standard dessert options.  Roaring Fork is open until midnight, so guests can also find a grab-and-go snack when they return from the parks before heading back to their room.

2. Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge)

A table service restaurant located right off the lobby at the Wilderness Lodge, Whispering Canyon serves guests at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Guests can choose to order a la carte off of the menu choosing between eggs Benedict, a ham and cheese omelet, French toast, waffles, or enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast skillet with potatoes, bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits, and gravy!  Regardless of your appetite, you’ll find something to enjoy here! Lunch and dinner offer similar choices to guests – choose between a skillet featuring salad, cornbread, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, as well as sausage, potatoes, corn, vegetables, and baked beans or from a selection of entrees: a BLT salads, strip steak, pork shank, St. Louis-style ribs, or quinoa cakes.  They also offer homestyle desserts, so you will definitely want to save some room!

3. Trail’s End (Fort Wilderness)

A true hidden gem located at the back of Fort Wilderness, Trail’s End serves guests at breakfast and dinner.  Guests will enjoy the buffet, but will truly appreciate the value of a meal here.  Trail’s End is one of the few buffets on property that does not feature characters, so guests will get a great value.  We are hard pressed to choose which option we like better – breakfast features unique options like breakfast pizza and hash, as well as French toast served with a custard pudding.  Dinner offers peel-and-eat shrimp, salads, as well as ribs, prime rib, and a huge dessert table.  Regardless of what meal you choose to eat here, we guarantee that you won’t be disappointed!
