Fun Things To Do At Walt Disney World Without A Park Ticket

things to do _ disney world _ disney fanatic
While a trip to Walt Disney parks is always a good time, we suggest taking a day off on your vacation and enjoy the more relaxing options available to Disney Resort Guests outside of the parks. Luckily, Disney has no shortage of things to do that don’t require a park ticket yet still allow you and your family to have a fun time. We hope you'll take our advice and enjoy the plethora of options available to you and your family!

1. Resort Hopping

One of my favorite things to do that’s not in a park is to go resort hopping - and its free! Disney does a wonderful job theming each resort with a unique theme and I could spend hours noticing all the little details. Resort hopping is especially fun around Christmas when all the resorts are dressed up. When it’s not Christmas time, it’s just fun to grab some food at the food court, explore the resort, and check out the gift shop. If you’re a fan of pin trading, be sure to check out the cast member lanyards at the gift shop ask if they have a pin board.

2. Swim At Your Resort Pool

It’s no surprise that, for most of the year, Florida is quite hot. Nothing beats the heat like taking a dip in a refreshing pool especially Disney’s uniquely themed resort pools. To truly have a relaxing day: grab a lounge chair, take a swim, and grab a cold drink- alcoholic or not- from the pool bar. It’s the perfect way to cool off and rest those tired feet and legs.

3. Movie Under The Stars

Each night most Disney resorts show a Disney movie outside, weather permitting. This is an opportunity for kids-young and old alike to enjoy a classic Disney movie for free while you relax under the stars.
