Ingredients

  • 4 ounces pineapple juice
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple
  • 3/4 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Equipment

  • Blender
  • 1M star piping tip for swirling

Method

  1. Step 1: Add all the ingredients to the blender in the order listed.
A blender container filled with pineapple chunks, ice cream scoops, and a yellow liquid, likely pineapple juice, against a blurred white tile background.
  2. Step 2: Blend until smooth. If serving right away, pour into glasses. If you want to get the classic Dole Whip swirl, place in a freezer safe container and freeze for about 40 minutes.
A light pink bowl filled with smooth, creamy yellow custard sits on a white marble surface.
  3. Step 3: When the mixture is firm enough to pipe, place in a piping bag with a 1M star tip. Pipe into glasses and serve.
A creamy, yellow pineapple smoothie is served in a clear glass with a yellow and white striped straw. The smoothie is topped with a swirl of whipped cream. Nearby, a whole pineapple and a can labeled "100% Pineapple Juice" are on a striped cloth.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter Dole Whip, add a few tablespoons of sugar to the mixture before blending.
  • To make a Dole Whip Float, pour more pineapple juice over the frozen Dole Whip.
  • Make this a dairy free dessert by using a dairy free ice cream.
