Top 10 Most Disappointing Experiences At Epcot

Spaceship Earth

9. New Year’s Eve Wait Times

It is no secret that Walt Disney World is a zoo over Christmas holidays and is packed with vacationers. Parks generally reach capacity by early afternoon on New Year’s Eve as they are filled with guests looking forward to counting down to the new year. My family experienced Epcot on New Year’s Eve and was in misery long before midnight. Bag check lines were one hour long, wait times for all attractions were around four hours long, restroom lines were half an hour long and the crowd was packed in shoulder to shoulder. My family claimed a bench and left two family members sitting on it for nine hours prior to the midnight countdown. After we had endured hours of waiting, a family pushed in front of us at ten that evening and blocked most of the holiday festivities from view.
